OMG! Please can someone tell me how we got to July so damn fast?!! I literally have no clue! In fact, I have no idea what I have done with the year, let alone my month! Anyway, let’s look back on the month and see what I have been really loving on!

Spectrum X Mean Girls

July saw the launch of the Spectrum X Mean Girls collaboration. I went to the launch part (It was AWESOME!) and I am fully obsessed with the brushes I got! They are so pretty! They are pink (of course!) and they have mean girl quotes down the side of each one. I love love love them! They aren’t out yet, but they will be out soon and you need to put them on your August shopping list!! Also, if you are new to Spectrum, you will soon be able to pick them up in Boots stores nationwide. It’s so awesome to see a super cool indie brand slay the game!! Well done ladies!!!

Distant Friends

This month my mum came to visit me and it made me realise how much I miss seeing my friends and family on a regular basis. I LOVE Margate, I really do, but it’s far from London and super far from Cheshire, so I don’t get to see everyone as much as I want to. I have started a new thing though, I have been surprising some of my nearest and dearest with little treats in the post. I have even been sending things overseas with the help of my friends at TNT.

Bobbi Brown ‘Beach’

Y’all know I love a good summery solar fragrance and I am all over this Bobbi Brown Beach perfume! It smells like hot beaches, jasmine, sea spray and sunshine. It’s just beautiful and I’m lapping it up whilst it’s still summer outside! I’m such a huge fan of Bobbi Brown make up, but this is my first dive into their fragrances and I am LOVING it!

Too Faced Natural Love Palette

If you are like me and you tend to keep your eye shadow fairly simple because you like to load up on winged eyeliner, then this Too Faced Natural Love Palette is pure perfection. Firstly, it’s HUGE! Literally, it’s HUGE! I mean, that’s a lot of beautiful neutral tones! I love the shades of pink, bronze and rose gold, all with lots of beautiful pale nudes. Perfect for us ghostly girls! I have a lot of love for this palette, it’s just a great every day palette!

Fornasetti Diffuser Sphere

Recently I have let DIY take a back seat in favour of accessorising. One of my favourite new pieces is this amazing Fornasetti Diffuser Sphere. I am obsessed!!!!! It smells of their Flora scent (lily, jasmine, tuberose & sandalwood) and it looks incredible in our lounge. If you want to see a full post about it, feel free to have a read here!

Amazing Cosmetics Concealer

I bought my first tube of Amazing Cosmetics Concealer years ago in Miami. It’s SUCH a good concealer and you need the tiniest amount so it literally lasts for years. I lost mine a while ago and I just got a new tube of it and I totally forgot how amazing it is! If you have never tried this concealer, you need to, it’s heavy duty and gives insane coverage. So so so good!!!!

Hill & Friends Handbag

Earlier this month I ditched the black and I wore all shades of pastel instead. It felt really nice to step away from my staple shades and wear something really bright and summery, it was also the perfect accompaniment for my iridescent Hill & Friends handbag! When I shop, I tend to buy fewer items and instead invest in a few pieces I can really treasure and enjoy wearing. Personally, I find it a better way to shop and I can have more fun thinking of creative ways to style items.

Huda Beauty X Tweezerman

This month saw the release of the Huda Beauty X Tweezerman collaboration. As a hairy girl with unruly eyebrows, I swear by my Tweezerman’s! They are the BEST tweezers and my usual pair are basic looking slate grey ones. These Huda Beauty ones are so much cuter, they make tweezing feel so much sassier! Available via Harrods and if you don’t already own Tweezerman’s you should treat yourself!

Prada Sunglasses

Earlier this month I dropped my beloved Ray-ban Wayfarers and the screw popped out. I know I have a lot of sunglasses and it might seem like an overreaction, but I almost started to cry. I wear my Ray-Bans all the time and they are the customised so the have my name printed on the inside of the arms and they are the perfect size, shape and shade or tortoiseshell. They are fixed now (I took them into David Clulow who were so kind and fixed in 5 minutes!) but whilst they were broken I wore my Prada sunglasses. I can’t deny, I felt pretty good wearing these bad boys!

Podcasts

I’m such a podcast addict and this month I have been loving Mogal, which is about the life, times and death of hip hop manager Chris Lighty. I know I’m no hip-hop gal, but he had such an interesting life and it’s interwoven with interviews, strategy and hip hop history. I’m so obsessed with it that I have found myself saying things like ‘Sup’ to my boyfriend after I listening to it. Slightly cringe coming from a Northern white girl, but proof that it’s totally addictive! Aside from Mogal I have to recommend Made Online, it’s the podcast from London Beauty Queen and it’s SO GOOD!! Make sure you listen to it and if you love it, give it a review on iTunes and give it a good ol’ 5 star rating!!!

Elemental Herbology Lip Balm

When I was in school I had a hugeeee array of lip balm,  I was addicted! I loved going shopping for them and finding new scents and cute little tubs, I don’t know what it was, but I just couldn’t get enough of them! I still love a good lip balm and right now, I’m all over this Elemental Herbology lip balm which is super light, slightly pumping (without the tingle) and really nourishing. It also smells dreamy!

Diptyque Giant Candle

I treated myself to something I have wanted for a while this month… a giant Diptyque candle. This bad boy has been on my wishlist for the longest time and I’m so so happy I finally own it! It has five wicks and it cost a small fortune, but I think it was totally worth it! I’m SO happy to have it!!! There’s a few different fragrances to choose from and it was tricky narrowing it down, but eventually I went for the fig. Isn’t it dreamy?!! I know it was a little extravagant, but ah, I wanted it SO bad!!!

Guerlain Baby Glow Touch

I am a huge fan of Guerlain make-up at the best of times, but this new release is so good it made me squeal when I opened the package! These Guerlain Baby Glow Touch are the first stick highlighters from Guerlain and they smell wonderfully powdery and violet-y (like their fragrance Meteorites.  It’s easy to use, handbag friendly and gives the most beautiful glow in three complimenting shades to give it a lovely sculpting halo effected. So much love for these highlighters!

Cleo Ferin Mercury Cat Scarf

A few days ago my friend Cleo Ferin Mercury sent me this adorable cat scarf, isn’t it the cutest?! It’s smaller than her usual style as you can either wear it in your hair, or as a tie, or even around your handbag like a twilly! I am of course, obsessed with the rainbow ombre effect! Lounge Makeover

We finally finished our lounge! We have been working on it for a sweet time, but it’s finally come together and it’s finally done! I’m so happy we finally have somewhere to hang out in the evenings! Isn’t it cute?! If you want to see the full room, you can read the blog post here!

Sister & Co. Coconut Oil

My friend Adorn Girl has always preached to me the joys of Coconut oil. It’s great for skin, hair, cooking… you name it, it works! I am starting to fall firmly in love with Sister & Co’s coconut oil. They serve it straight up (raw), as well as blended as a lip oil, body melt and so much more. Smells delightful and works a treat! Ohh and they also do a charcoal coconut oil tooth paste which I really want to try soon, just because it’s weird AF (but apparently works wonders!)
