24K Bio-Gold Collection
24K Bio-Gold Collection combines two things I love; Good skincare and plenty of sparkle. No really, this skincare collection actually contains 24k gold! FYI, the gold does more than just look fancy in your bathroom, these tiny flakes of 24K gold infuse the skincare with mineral-rich ions. Which help stimulate blood and oxygen flow to help improve circulation and skin’s metabolism. This in turn, also helps to stimulate collagen and skin’s natural elastane which keeps skin youthful and firm. Phew! That’s the science bit done! Also, if you are sceptical that gold has no effect on skin, then clearly you have never had a sty on your eye which you have rubbed gold onto, it might be an old wives tale to some, but it totally works!
Four Simple Steps…
Like all the best things in life, the 24K Bio-Gold skin care collection is simple and easy to use. The cleansers have been separated into day and night formulas as our skincare needs are different at these two times of the day, much like our day and night creams differ in this way. As for the 24K Gold Bio-Water, this miracle product acts as both a toner and a serum.
Cleanser: Bio-Gold recommend a separate day and night cleanser, the day cleanser is a light, fine foam which removes overnight impurities; sweat and oil. It is a really gentle cleanser as that is all you need for the morning, it doesn’t strip your skin and it helps to prepare the skin to absorb your moisturiser and give a good base for your make-up. The night cleanser is a thicker, richer cleanser which removes all traces of dirt, pollutants and make-up. It’s important to note here that it also cleanses without stripping your skin.
24 K Bio_Gold Water: An essence which is somewhere between a toner and a serum. It is used morning and evening and it tightens pores, plumps skin, balance your natural sebum levels and leave skin evenly moisturised and matte. It’s a real hero product from the 24K Bio-Gold Collection.
Moisturiser: Bio-Gold recommend a separate day and night cleanser, the day cleanser has an SPF of 25 and it is high in anti-oxidants, It’s easily absorbs and helps skin fight the free radicals. The night cream is also high in anti-oxidants, this cream is rich, nourishing and helps to combat premature aging and fine lines which may have already appeared.
24k Bio-Gold Miracle Finish: Finally, the Miracle finisher is a day product which is the ultimate hard working, multi-tasking product. It helps to lock in your moisturiser which helps keep your skin hydrated and healthy looking all day, it also works as a primer and helps to prepare your skin as the perfect canvas for make-up. Finally, it acts as a shield to protect your skin from environmental damage or any irritants in your make-up.
My Thoughts….
I have only been using the Bio-Essence 24K Bio-Gold Collection for a couple of weeks, but already I’m turning into a big fan! Firstly, I love the two cleansers as I have quite dry skin and I find a lot of cleansers can be quite drying and stripping, neither of these are. The morning cleanser is light and fuss-free (I use mine in the shower) and the evening cleanser is a lot more heavy-duty and even removes my stubborn eye make-up, whilst still having that rich, luxurious feel I love. Scent-wise they have a light, fresh scent which is good if you like un-perfumed products and are prone to irritation. I found the day and night creams also performed really well for me, the day cream absorbs easily, feels non-greasy and is light enough to not make my foundation slide around, but gives long-wear hydration. The night cream is also lovely, it’s really rich and nourishing, almost like a sleep mask. Both are excellent value for money and I’m always very happy when the SPF is built into the product. Finally, I really love the 24K Bio-Gold Water, it works really well as a primer and serum, leaving my skin feeling tightened, healthy and it’s a great base for my foundation too. Personally, I’m really liking the 24K Bio-Gold Collection, I think my skin looks good for using it, it feels good on my skin and it’s also really affordable, especially compared to the brands I usually buy. These sound great products, I have dry skin too and I think they’d be brilliant & I have rubbed gold on a stye, years ago when I was nursing a patient gave me her wedding ring to rub on & the morning after it was gone! Xx
