Accessorising with Fornasetti Diffuser
Regular readers will know I have spent the last few months knee deep in rubble, reclaimed bricks and pots of paint. Whilst we haven’t quite put our crowbars away yet, we are definitely starting to see the light at the end of the dusty tunnel! I can’t even begin to explain how excited I am about finally being able to accessorise my house with all the beautiful things I have been picking up over the past few months and storing safely ready for this day! Are you ready to chat about my Fornasetti Diffuser?
The beginning of the obsession…
One of my biggest home decor weaknesses has to be Fornasetti. I first discovered it when I was in Sketch, the waitress put a giant scented candle on the window ledge next to our table and all brunch long, I was marvelling over the beautiful design of the pot and the incredible scent of the candle. I suddenly realised that Sketch always smelt great and it wasn’t due to the fresh coffee and cream cakes, it was the scent of Fornasetti. A few weeks later I spotted the candles in Selfridges and swooned over them once again. My boyfriend offered to buy me one, but I insisted I didn’t need one. A week later he ordered me one from Amara… and so the obsession begun! That christmas he gave me the choice between a YSL bag and a giant Fornasetti candle, I know this will come as a shock, but I picked the candle!
Fornasetti Flora Fragrance Diffusing Sphere
We have amassed a fair few Fornasetti items over the years, but recently I have been swooning over the Fornasetti Flora Fragrance Diffusing Sphere. I love the shape of it; the weird, surrealist sphere with the floral eye design on it. This motif is actually one of the first ever creations of Piero Fornasetti, who’s designs have been recently revived by his son, Barnaba. It’s the perfect objet d’art, both beautiful and functional; The oil inside smells incredible and fills the living room with the most beautiful floral-green fragrance. It’s rich with the scent of lily, jasmine, tuberose and a base of woodsy notes. Their fragrances are always made using the highest quality ingredients, in the perfumery capital of the world, Grasse. It’s fair to say, I am a huge, huge, huge fan of Fornasetti and I’m so happy to have added this sphere to my collection!
All In The Detail
The Fornasetti Flora Fragrance Diffusing Sphere and Owl Candle are from Amara, but if you were wondering where my other pieces are from, you can find the Chanel book at Very Exclusive and the Adorn book via Amazon. The Peacock lamp was a very lucky find at Debenham’s and it looks and feels a lot more luxe than the price tag would suggest, a lot of people have asked me if it is antique! The cushion and sofa are both from Multiyork and the jug of garden flowers is by Orla Kiely. Right now, this is my happy place!
