Five Great Body Bronzing Oils

Five Great Body Bronzing Oils

Any day now, I’m jetting off to Egypt, I can’t deny I’m super excited, but at the same time, I’m kinda nervous about having to show my pasty white skin to the world. I get it, I’m pale, but in England, it makes sense, next to palm trees deep blue seas, I look ill. I’ve prepped my skin with a little gradual tan to lift the pink tone, now, all I need is a little bronzing body oil and I may almost look like my skin is normal and *gasp* healthy! Just a reminder, these oils are not to be used in the day as they are not sun oils and contain SPF, they are for post-beach, post-shower, post-aftersun… y’know, a little evening glow and a boost of hydration!

Tropic-Skincare-Summer-Goddess

Tropic Skincare ‘Summer Goddess’

Tropic Skincare Summer Goddess contains a blend of deeply nourishing organic virgin coconut and golden jojoba oils. It’s priced at £28 for a 150ml bottle, which is pretty good as it’s a hefty old bottle. It’s got a lovely gold radiance to it and it smells like tropical vanilla!

Barry-M-In-The-Glow

Barry M ‘In The Glow’

Barry M’s In The Glow has literally just launched, it’s part of the Summer collection and I *think* the first time Barry M have moved away from cosmetics and created a body care product. I have to say, I’m impressed. It’s a nice sized bottle for a great price. It gives a good glow and whilst it’s not as opulent and luxe as some of the other’s, it’s pretty awesome!

Elizabeth-Arden-Dare-To-Bare

Elizabeth Arden ‘Dare To Bare’

I’m an Elizabeth Arden addict. I bloody love their skin and body care and this Dare To Bare bronzing body oil is every bit as lovely as I hoped it would be! It’s a travel-friendly sized bottle and super lightweight and lustrous to wear. Elizabeth Arden Limited edition products often sell out super fast, so if you want it, make sure you order it asap! PS. It smells like coconut and vanilla!

The-Body-Shop-Honey-Bronze.

The Body Shop ‘Honey Bronze’

The Body Shop have created not one, but two bronzing body oils; A classic bronze, Honey Bronze and a softer Golden Honey. I would say this is the most subtle of all the bronzing oils, also it has a more floral, honey scent to it, rather than a more coconut-y tropical scent which the other ones are.

nuxe-body-oil-glow

Nuxe ‘Huile Prodigieuse’

And finally, potentially the king of all bronzing body oils. Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse is an extension of the classic dry body oil we all know and love. It can be used on the face, body and hair and it smells bloody brilliant. So good in fact, Nuxe ended up creating a perfume in the same scent as their customers love the fragrance of it so much!

I hope you liked hearing about my five favourite bronzing body oils, and to all my pasty friends out there… I understand you!

I’ve never used a bronzing oil before, I just think it would look strange on me. The nuxe oils are so popular though, they look the most natural to me x

I think I have to try the Nuxe one…many years ago there was an Estee Lauder one (Bronze Goddess, I think) that I still kick myself for not purchasing…I would try the Barry M one but can’t get it here in the States!

Body bronzing Oils aren’t something I’ve tried a great deal of in the past but that NUXE one sounds amazing. Plus I think the sound of an oil might be better for me right now so I’ll be checkin it out for sure! x
