In Review…

I have been wearing Miller Harris perfumes for years now. I have rattled through bottles upon bottles of their fragrances; Citron Citron, Tuberosa, Vetitver Insolent and Rose Silence to name a few favourites. I have burnt candles of Fig, Tobacco and Jane Birkin’s bespoke fragenace; L’air de Rien. I owned pieces of their original bath & body collection (remember that?!) and I credit their fragrance La Feuille (a rich green autumnal scent rich with green leaves, fig, berries and garden florals) as one of my top five favourite perfumes of all time. I raise my emoji hands up to the screen and declare myself a big Miller Harris fan.

Lê cedre is the latest fragrance from Miller Harris. It is part of The Perfumers Library collection (the same collection which La Feuille is part of) and it is an absolute winner. It reminds me a little of Vetitver Insolent as it has the same dry, hot, earthy feel to it, but it’s a very different fragrance as it is far more complex. Lê cedre opens with a heavy hit of dark, dry spicy black and pink pepper, which mingles beautifully with addictive, exotic cedarwood. Alongside the cedarwood there is a sweetness of mimosa and dark rich fantasy like floral of black orchid. The base of the fragrance is woody and musky, giving it a real sensual tone. Lê Cedre is absolutely stunning, I love the complexity of the woods, spice, heat, florals, sweetness and musk. If you love Miller Harris’s Vetiver Insolent and Jo Malone’s Cardamom & Mimosa, then this is a fragrance you will adore, it’s a little like discovering these two beauties have a love child, which is pretty much the best thing ever!

Miller Harris Lê cedre is out now and available exclusively at World Duty Free, it is priced at £124 for a 100ml bottle.
