The Beauty Sleep Edit

I have always been a problem sleeper, it tends to go in phases and recently I have been going through a bit of a bad patch. I called in the big guns, all my favourite sleep aid products. All natural, all effective and all well worth investing in if you have sleep issues!

 This-Works-Sleep-Plus-Pillow-Spray

This Works Sleep Plus Pillow Spray

One of my all time favourite sleep aids, I have given bottles of This Works Sleep Plus Pillow Spray  to so many people; my mum, my bestie, my photographer…. It’s clinically proven to work and personally, I find it to be a real winner!  I think I’m on about my fifth bottle of this and I generally have a spare one in the cupboard ready for when it runs out.

Tropic-Skincare-So-Sleepy-Set

Tropic Skincare So Sleepy Set

Unfortunately, this Tropic Skincare So Sleepy set is limited edition and it only comes as a travel size, but the plus side is, it’s a real snip at just £10 for the duo. The set contains a pillow spray as well as a temple roll on sleep oil. Perfect for travel and keep your fingers crossed it’s releases as a full sized product at some point. The only drawback is that the nozzle doesn’t give a very even mist, so it does spritz onto your pillow in a fairly patchy way, but it’s still really effective.

Aromatherapy-Associates-Deep-Relax-Candle

Aromatherapy Associates Deep Relax Candle

I’m a huge fan of using scented candles to help relax me in the evenings. I find the soft flickering light calming and I find a calming blend of essential oils really soothing. One of my very favourites has to be Aromatherapy Associates Deep Relax Candle, as it is filled with a soothing blend of West Indian Bay and Myrrh. You don’t need to burn the candle for long before the scent fills the room,  it’s really relaxing and effective.

Aromatherapy-Associates-Deep-Relax-Bath-Oil

Aromatherapy Associates Deep Relax Bath Oil

Whilst this product can be used in the bath or shower, I do find the ultimate results come when it’s used in the bath. This Aromatherapy Associates Deep Relax Bath Oil is intensely relaxing and a long soak in the tub will leave you feeling deliriously relaxed and sleepy. It’s intense and brilliant!

 Neom-Organics-Perfect-Nights-Sleep-Pillow-Mist

Neom Organics Perfect Night’s Sleep Pillow Mist

It was love at first spritz with Neom Organics Perfect Night’s Sleep Pillow Mist! It’s filled with lavender, jasmine, camomile and patchouli oil. Super relaxing and oh-so-luxurious. Weirdly, I love this one, but my boyfriend isn’t such a fan, I think he found it a little too feminine with the camomile and jasmine, but I don’t care, it works for me!

 Angela-Flanders-Lavender-Chamomile-Pillow-Spray

Angela Flanders Lavender & Chamomile Pillow Spray

This Angela Flanders Lavender & Chamomile Pillow Spray can be used in the day as a relaxing and soothing cologne (perfect for those who get stressed at work), or it can be used as a night time pillow spray. It contains Lavender and Chamomile, both are soothing and relaxing and will help calm you ready for sleep. For those who don’t know Angela Flanders, they have the most beautiful shop on Columbia Road in East London, filled with beautiful fragrances, candles and bath & body products.

Catherine-Jean-Lavender-Filled-Eye-Mask

Catherine & Jean Lavender Filled Eye Mask

I have used a lot of eye masks in my time, but none of them have been filled with dried lavender, believe me, it makes all the difference! Not only does this Catherine & Jean Lavender Filled Eye Mask block out all the light and help you sleep more soundly, but the lavender within the mask naturally releases a scent all night long and really helps you to drift to sleep and stay asleep. It’s  revelation and particularly amazing if your bedroom has thin curtains or you travel a lot, oh hello long haul flights!

Jurlique-calming-mist

Jurlique Calming Blend Aromatherapy Mist

Those who know Jurlique skin care, will know it’s natural, soothing and always smells incredible! I adore their Rosewater Balancing mist, as well as their Lavender Balancing mist, sometimes I mist myself with these products not because my skin needs a boost, but just because I enjoy it! I’m guessing I am not the only one who did this as Jurlique have recently created a collection of aromatherapy mists. My favourite has to be the Calming Blend Mist, you can use it as a space spray, or a pillow mist. Either way, it works a treat!

 Sunday-Riley-Luna-Night-Oil-drops

Sunday Riley Luna Night Oil

Whilst this Sunday Riley Luna Night Oil might not help you sleep better, it will help you to wake up looking fresh-faced, super-glowing and well-rested, now matter how little (or much) sleep you managed to get. It contains super rich ingredients such as avocado, chai and concord grape seed oil. I found it to be a bit of a miracle product for my old skin, but I have heard younger girls (teens and twenties) can find it a little too rich. For me though, this is worth every bit of hype I have ever heard about it!

So, there we have it, my favourite sleepy time products. As I mentioned, I have been a troubled sleeper since I was a child and these products really do help soothe and relax me and help me get to sleep faster and for longer… enjoy! Oh and if you try any of these, tweet me and let me know how you get on!
