Beauty: Five Great Face Oils

Five Great Face Oils

Ugh. It’s that time of year when my skin is struggling. Central heating makes me skin dry and sore (at times my cheeks turn bright red and actually start to burn) and the cold winds feel like it’s beating up my skin. A girl can’t win! On no-make-up days, I often find myself wearing night cream in the day to give my skin a little extra protection and sometimes I top up half way through the day. That’s when I realised it was time to crack open the face oils… Here are my five favourites!

Aromatherapy Associates Hydrating Face Oil

I love Aromatherapy Associates an their beautiful bath and body collection, but I rarely get a chance to take about their skincare collection, which FYI is stunning. The Aromatherapy Associates Hydrating Face Oil is a favourite of mine. It contains Evening Primrose oil  to replenish and soften skin, whilst the Rose oil stimulates circulation and balances skin. Always a pleasure to use and if you are wanting to treat someone with a super luxurious skin care product, this is a winner!

Sisley Black Rose Precious Face Oil

Sisley Black Rose Precious Face Oil

My favourite super luxe face oil has to be Sisley Black Rose Precious Face Oil. It’s perfect for very dry and mature skin (my mum swears by it!) and it contains a high concentration of active ingredients, omega 3 and 6, plant based goodness, black rose (including Magnolia oil and precious Bulgarian rose) and so much more. It’s a wonderful, wonderful product, but it’s more of a special occasion purchase. If you are new to Sisley but you want to try their products, then I would highly recommend their monthly subscription box as it gives you a little taster of the brand for around £7 per month and you get some nice sized items inside.

Balance Me Rose Otto Face Oil

I have rattled through about 4 bottles of Balance Me Rose Otto Face Oil so far, it’s a great product and for me, it’s one I keep going back to because it’s just a great all-rounder. Luxe enough to really enjoy, but the bottle is big enough not to have to worry about being sparing with it! It 100% natural and contains lots of wonderful rose so it balances, hydrates and soothes. It’s a great mid-range product which will last you for months and months!

Herbfarmacy Rose & Mallow Facial Oil

I was first introduced to Herbfarmacy by LBQ Blog, she is a huge fan of their products and recommended their creams to my sister as she suffers with eczema. There’s barely a skincare brand out there that LBQ hasn’t tried and tested, so I always take her recommendations pretty seriously. She was right, Herbfarmacy do some beautiful products and their Rose & Mallow Facial Oil is a real gem. It smells incredible and it’s 97% organic, so perfect for those who have super sensitive skin. Herbfarmacy are a niche skincare brand, but they make amazing products and they do some great charity work too. Make sure you check them out!

L’oreal Extraordinary Oil

The most affordable face oil of the lot, but still a great product. Unlike the others, L’oreal Extraordinary Oil doesn’t contain rose, but it does contain Lemongrass, Clove, Rosemary, Lavender and if you buy it from Boots it’s only £13 right now! If you are nervous of using face oils, because you are worried they will feel too greasy (they don’t FYI) or you are worried that they will cause you to break out (again, I have never had these issues and I have combination skin and use the oil everywhere) then this is the one to try to dip your toe into the water! A great face oil and incredible value!

So there we have it, Five Great Face Oils! I hope you enjoyed!
