Bulgari Rose Goldea
Creating Rose Goldea has been an extraordinary adventure because we wanted to interpret the emotional dimensions of one delicate flower: Damascena rose, the most prestigious of roses. The fraction I used of Damascena rose actually doesn’t smell like a classic rose: here, I wanted to illustrate the very natural freshness, youthfulness and luminosity of the flower with the more translucent notes of musk. This new musk is very radiant, exciting and underscored by a transparency that is completely feminine. Rose Goldea is the eternal essence of femininity with an extension of Goldea in the fullness of its musky notes – it is a different facet of the same woman. It embodies royalty and gold, and reflects a woman who is almost unattainable. Yet at the same time she also fulfilled at home, in her garden or on her royal boat, like an enamoured version of Cleopatra. Rose Goldea evokes the eternal beauty that all women even to this day pursue, bringing associations of nature and freshness into a very contemporary and feminine trail.

In Review…
Bulgari Rose Goldea is the latest incarnation of Bulgari’s Goldea which was released last year. The original fragrance features layer upon layer of gold tones and musk (you can read more about it here). It is pure 24karat gold decadence! This latest incarnation is every bit as sensual as the original, but this time with a rose gold twist! Bulgari Rose Goldea contains notes of dark juicy pomegranate, rose and jasmine, layered up with oodles of musk. It’s every bit as precious as the original, but this time, it’s a little rosier and floral. The floral notes are rich and decadent, velvety rose and sweet jasmine, both adding a their own slice of femininity and sensuality to the fragrance.
I keep trying to figure out which of the two fragrances I prefer, I love them both, but part of me adores the original Bulgari Goldea, because it’s so unusual, I can’t think of any other fragrance which layers up rich, golden musk like this. However, I adore, the classic and heady red rose quality of the Bulgari Rose Goldea. If, like me, you are a fan of rich, red roses which have a deep, musky base, then you will adore this perfume, it’s truly beautiful and fabulous. However, the original oozes glamour and opulence in a different way. Personally, I think the original Bulgari Goldea is a slightly sweeter and younger fragrance, where as the Bulgari Rose Goldea has a more traditional feel to it. I think I’m starting to ramble, but the gist is, I love them both, I can’t decide which one I like the best as they are both stunning and sexy in different ways, but I would highly recommend you go and sniff them in-store as soon as possible. They are very, very, very special! Hats of to Bulgari…. now I’m off to go look at their handbags because I *really* need one!
