Fragrance Combining

As with all Jo Malone fragrance, Myrrh & Tonka Cologne Intense can be combined with other fragrances to create a slightly deeper and more complex scent. You can create something a little more bespoke with your Jo Malone fragrances and add a little extra ‘something something’ to your favourite perfumes. Myrrh & Tonka Cologne Intense can be combined with Basil & Neroli for a spicy sensual fragrance, radiant with neroli and it adds a little light and freshness to the scent, making it a great ‘day time’ perfume. It can also be combined with Velvet Rose & Oud, which is about fragrance from the Intense collection, it keeps the fragrance deep and sensual, but adds a touch of velvet rose femininity and those precious resins and oud. I also think it might be nice with Incense & Cedrat too, I think it will increase the smoke and spice and add sweetness to the heady Incense notes.

Two Best Jo Malone Perfumes For Fragrance Combining!

When it comes to fragrance combining, the best two fragrances are Wood Sage & Sea Salt for making the fragrance is a little fresher and more coastal, and Myrrh & Tonka to make the fragrance a little richer, darker and moodier. These are the two best perfumes to add into your collection to make your Jo Malone perfumes a little more bespoke to you. It’s a really nice feeling to just add these two perfumes in to your collection to mix things up a little!

Jo Malone ‘Oud & Bergamot’

Funnily enough, I used to LOVE Jo Malone Oud & Bergamot SO much, until I tried Myrrh & Tonka and now I’m totally over Oud & Bergamot because I love Myrrh & Tonka so much! It’s totally overtaken as one of my favourites, which I thought was interesting… anyway! Watch the video if you fancy!

Jo Malone London ‘Myrrh & Tonka’ Cologne Intense Review…

Yesterday was my first day back to blogging after the Christmas holiday and to be honest, I just couldn’t get in the mood. I was tired, uninspired, cold and my inbox was filled with ‘Happy new year’ emails, rather than exciting launches and events…. And then I got an email from my friends at Jo Malone London and I was excited again! Why? Because they have a new fragrance out and I am so excited to share it with you all!

Jo Malone London Myrrh & Tonka Cologne Intense is right up my street, it’s filled with dark and mysterious notes of exotic and aromatic myrrh, creamy tones of vanilla and almond from the tonka bean and a hint of dried lavender which reminds me of the souks of Marrakesh. It’s rich, sensual and exotic, with a heavy of sweetness balancing out the darker notes. There’s something youthful buy elegant about it, think Karen Elson at Coachella (KE being their latest ambassador BTW). It reminds me a little of the much-loved Jo Malone fragrance Mimosa & Cardamom, but a little richer and textured. It’s got that luxe sweetness to it which I really love; that deep exotic feel with creamy addictive gourmand notes. Another winning Jo Malone fragrance, especially good for those who has a slightly sweeter tooth.

Jo Malone London ‘Myrrh & Tonka’ Cologne Intense is out now and available from Jo Malone London, as well as stockists such as Nordstrom, Saks and Bloomingdales. It is priced at £70 for a 50ml bottle and £105 for a £100 bottle.
