It’s always exciting when Benefit Cosmetics release something new, it’s one of those momentous occasions when the beauty world erupts with excitements and we all flock to Boots to find out what they have been up to. We ‘ohhh’ and ‘ahhhh’ over the new packaging, we lust over the colours and we swoon over the long-lasting face-altering effects. Brilliant! This is the latest release from Benefit Cosmetics…. They’re Real! Double The Lip.

Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real! Double The Lip is a lipstick and lipliner in one. The lipstick is shaped like a teardrop, designed to mimic your cupids bow and hug your natural lipline. The tip of the teardrop is the lipliner and you will be able to see it’s a slightly darker shade. The lipstick has a light, creamy texture with a semi-glossy finish. I was expecting the lipstick to wear off quickly, due to it’s lightweight feel, but actually, it slightly stains the lips so it lasts incredibly well. It gives a full and juicy appearance and most importantly, it wears off evenly, so there is no dramatic ‘dark lipliner/no lipstick’ situation going on. Also, it’s a refreshing change to see a brand launching a glossy lipstick, recently it’s all been about the mattes, and as much as I love a velvet lip, they can be hard work to maintain and very drying. Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real! Double The Lip are easy-peasy to apply, moisture-rich and low-maintance. They are the Benefit lipstick we have all been waiting for!

Right now, I think Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real! Double The Lip is only available as part of a set of four mini lipsticks. Personally, I like all the shades in the set, they are all pretty mid-pinks to reds, all very wearable. The set of four is £24.50, which is pretty amazing for four Benefit lipsticks, but if you went halves with a friend, you could get two lipsticks each for £12.25! OR you could split the set into four and keep one and give the other three to your girlfriends as a christmas stocking filler (or pop them in your christmas crackers!). Either way, it’s worth buying the set to get your hands on these bad boys, they really are worth it! I’m putting mine in my handbag right now!
