Five Relaxing Winter Candles
I don’t know about you, but I’m in full-on Winter hibernation mode already! All I want to do with my days is sit on a sofa, drink endless hot chocolates and watch re-runs of Friends and The Big Bang Theory. I have even ordered myself new pyjamas as real clothes are way too much effort. I could give myself a pep-talk and try to get myself out of this lul, but instead, I’m just going to embrace it, because I work hard and I want to have a relaxing December… All I need now, is to buy some cookies to dip into my hot chocolate and to set the mood with some scented candles. Here are Five Relaxing Winter Candles I thoroughly recommend.
True Grace Burlington Christmas Candle
There are a lot of beautiful True Grace candles to choose from, but I love the cosiness of their Burlington Christmas Candle. It is inspired by the scent of London during Christmas time with the smell of cloves, citrus, cardamom, mandarin, casis and jasmine. Maybe I love the warm, embracing scent of this candle, or maybe I love the fact it’s named after Burlington Arcade, which is one of my favourite places in London (and where I got my engagement ring). But either way, I love this candle and I’m tempted to buy more before the limited edition range sells out!
Aromantherapy Associates Relax Candle
I am a bit of a troubled sleeper and one of my best discoveries has been the Aromantherapy Associates Relax range. I swear, the bath oil is a relaxing dream and when coupled with the candle, it would be a challenge to try and stay awake! This soy wax candle contains a blend of essentials oils including West Indian Bay, Geranium and the ever-so-festive scent of Myrrh. It smells divine and believe me, if this doesn’t relax you, nothing will!
Etro Misto Bosco Candle
I get one Etro Candle a year and my goodness, I make it last! Their candles are so special and so beautiful they are like sweet, soothing liquid gold. This year, I have the Etro Misto Bosco Candle which smells like sweet vanilla deserts, wild berries, cloves and pine. It’s warm, comforting and wonderfully festive, but the twist is the sweetness of the berries and vanilla which really softens it and makes it feel so much more inviting.
Mio Liquid Yoga Candle
I am fairly new to the Mio Liquid Yoga Collection, but so far I’m loving it! Forget about the slightly medicinal branding, because it’s what’s inside that counts! This natural wax candle blends lavender and mint to uplift your spirit and help ease away tensions. It’s super relaxing and also helps aid sleep. Yogi’s and use it during meditation and yoga, but personally, I burn it when I’m watching TV and it still does the trick! I also really love their Space Spray which you can mist around you to feel calm and it doubles as a pillow spray to aid sleep.
Elemental Herbology Five Element Aromatherapy Earth Candle
Finally, If you are looking for something relaxing but a little more earthy and natural, then I can’t recommend Elemental Herbology Five Element Aromatherapy Earth Candle enough. It smells woody and outdoorsy like smoky log fires and and camping stoves with a hint of citrus to festive and freshen things up. It’s relaxing in a wilderness kind of way and it’s a real favourite with my boyfriend too!
