Three Awesome Advent Calendars

It seems Christmas 2016 is the year of the beauty advent calendar. I swear to god…every. single. brand has created a calendar filled with gifts and treats! It’s almost impossible to know which one to go for, which is why I was going to do a blog post showcasing them all, but then I noticed Beauty Queen UK has already done this and it’s such an incredible post, I couldn’t compete! She managed to find calendars I hadn’t even realised existed yet and what’s even more impressive, she did it back in September. Yep. Blogging goals, right there! Instead I have picked out three three awesome advent calendars which I have chosen to open this December. Here’s the ones I went for and why….

Benefit Cosmetics Girl O’Clock

I feel like Benefit were the originators of the beauty advent calendar, which might be the reason they have always done a 12 day countdown rather than the classic 24/25 days. Perhaps at the time they felt they should do less days to keep the retail price down, or maybe they just thought it was cuter. Whatever the reason, Benefit Cosmetics Girl O’Clock is a 12 day countdown and it contains 12 awesome products including High Beam, Benetint, They’re Real, Hoola, Lollibalm and so much more. They are all mini sized products, but actually, they will probably last for months and months and months. After all, have you ever managed to get to the bottom of a full sized bottle of Benetint?! Look Fantastic Beauty Secret

Holy Moly! I feel like the Look Fantastic team sat down to create a calendar and decided they wanted it bigger, better and more impressive and lust-worthy than everyone else’s put together. That’s my theory anyway because the Look Fantastic Beauty Secret calendar is EPIC! And I mean, Lord Of The Rings Trilogy epic! There is products inside from Rituals, Pixi, Molton Brown, Origins, Balance Me… the list goes on and on! In fact, there is £300 worth of products in this advent calendar and it’s so big that it was actually hard to photograph as it took up sooooo much space and it was heavy to lug around! It retailed for £70 but it sold out in just two weeks and already it’s been spotted on eBay changing hands for triple this sum! Amazing!

Dirty Works Advent Calendar

Whilst nothing can compete with the Look Fantastic calendar in terms of luxury, this Dirty Works Advent Calendar can compete on price. It contains 24 treats from body scrub to bath soak, nail polish to eyeliner… and the cost?! Just £10! I know!! £10 for 24 products!!!!! I can’t get over the value of this calendar, make sure you pick one up in Sainsbury’s next time you pick up your groceries!
