Seven Great Emergency Gifts
With Christmas around the corner, there is a lot of gifts to buy, however, try as you might, you know someone will slip your mind and be forgotten. It’s not because you don’t love them, it’s more because life will get in their way or you didn’t expect to see them over the festive period. Thankfully, I have pulled together a give great emergency gifts which are suitable for men and women and almost every age, all practical enough to be loved and special enough to feel personal.
Cosy Blanket
My sister once bought me a cosy blanket for christmas and at first I was a little surprised, but actually, I was wrapped in it within an hour and I barely moved from it until New Year! Every night I would cosy under it at night and when it wasn’t in use, it really brightened up my sofa. There are a lot of lovely blankets around right now, but my definite favourite is this stunner from Boden. Wonderfully cosy and super soft, this bad boy will be gratefully received for any loved one!
Cosy Slippers
Much like a lovely blanket in terms of practicality and cosiness, but a little more affordable, these cosy slippers are by Boden and they are soft on the inside and beautiful on the outside! Of course, I have the pink pair, but they also come in navy, mustard, grey and blue.
True Grace Candle Burlington Christmas Candle
Scented candles are always a great gift, but at Christmas it’s an even better gift! Everyone loves to snuggle up with a good book or their favourite film and light a scented candle, so my suggestion is, the True Grace Candle Burlington Christmas Candle, it smells like cassis, mandarin, jasmin, lily, vanilla and sandalwood. Intoxicating and festive.
Crabtree & Evelyn Hand Cream
Some people use hand cream because they like to keep their skin super soft and their nails nourished. Whilst others use hand cream because they love the outdoors and get dry hands from the cold Winter weather. This Crabtree & Evelyn Hand Cream is the perfect gift set for anyone and at £15 it’s also a great price.
Molton Brown Gift Set
Bathroom products are always a good emergency christmas gift, but not many of them are gender neutral like Molton Brown. Men crave Molton Brown, in the same way women go cray-cray for Jo Malone and the best part is, women love them too! An elegant christmas gift for anyone you love but might not have expected to see over the festive period!
Tea Service
Drinking tea is a Great British passtime, indulge your loved one with a beautiful and functional design item like this Tse & Tse Teapot and amazing gold teacups. Top it off with a few packets of Teapots and you have an insanely amazing gift for any art lover, architect or instagrammer.
Doisy & Dam Chocolate
Finally, chocolate is always a good idea, especially if they are a bit of a foodie! Whilst Cadbury’s is always yum, it’s nice to have something a little more artisan around christmas and perhaps something which is a little more of a talking point. You might love some flavours, you might hate others, but it’s fun for everyone to try the flavours and chat about them. Personally, I’m all over Doisy & Dam Chocolate which have some amazing flavour combinations and will be sure to delight your friends this Christmas!
