In Review…

I  have the biggest beauty crush on Sisley, I love their beautiful skin care, I go crazy for their make-up and their fragrances are the epitome of Parisian elegance! Their latest fragrance Soir de Lune is no exception to this rule, I must admit, it’s not for everyone, but in a world with sickly sweet fruity-florals reign supreme, this fragrance is classic, elegant and refined. Fitting into market trends isn’t always a good thing.

Sisley Soir de Lune is opens with a melody of rich citrus notes, but they aren’t clean and crisp, instead they are slightly Autumnal, a little like the ones you might find in a christmas cocktail, spicy, comforting and warm. The heart is filled with rich heady florals, a mix of red rose, mimosa, lily of the valley, iris and jasmine. The florals are full, heavy, velvety and at times fresh and natural, others they feel a little more powerful and aldehydic. Sisley Soir de Lune is a real power scent, it’s fabulous, classic and intoxicating, it’s not for the faint hearted and too special for every day wear, but damn, when I were it, I literally feel like a million dollars. If you love classic fragrances which ooze Parisian style (Chanel No. 5, Hermes Calèche et al) then Sisley Soir de Lune is for you. I’m utterly obsessed with it!

As for the bottle, it’s an elegant, classic shape with a cap designed by the Polish sculptor Bronislaw Krzysztof. A keepsake long after the bottle has been finished, FYI, hang onto your old Sisley perfume bottles, they are highly desirable collectors items.

Sisley Soir de Lune is available as a 30ml, 50ml and 100ml and available from www.sisley-paris.com and Sisley counters nationwide.

Lilly of the Valley is my FAVORITE flower in the world. I love the scent, I love how dainty and delicate and beautiful it is. It make me very happy to see its notes included in this fragrance. I think not enough perfumes use this scent.
