Rooftops in Reykjavik

Despite my trip to Iceland being fairly short, my suitcase was huge stuffed to the brim. No, I haven’t suddenly turned into a diva, there wasn’t many cute dresses, nor designer handbags. Instead it was filled with winter warmers, walking boots and waterproofs. These came in pretty handy when we were in the countryside. But when we reached the city, my outfits a little ‘thin on the ground’! Luckily for me, it was just about warm enough to wear a cape (as long as I wore thermal underwear) so I was able to leave the snow suit in the hotel and swan around the city in a cape. The Icelandic countryside was every bit as chilly as you might expect, but Reykjavik City was pretty similar to London.

Boden Handbag

Since most of my suitcase space was taken up with padded jackets, I kept my regular clothes to the basics and old favourites and fail safe pieces like my always comfortable Vagabond Boots and easy-to-style Boden Cape. However, I couldn’t resist packing my brand new Boden Luxe Leather Tote Bag which I absolutely adore! I had been eyeing up this bag for a little while now, but it was sold out for a while and I thought my opportunity to get it was gone forever, I couldn’t believe my luck when it came back into stock! Thank goodness for new deliveries, right?! I love the think leather, the lightweight feel and the easy shape! I can fit everything I need inside and carry it in my hands or over my shoulder. It’s the perfect alternative to my white Kate Spade toe bag which I used endlessly last summer, but now feels inappropriate for the season because it’s bright white!

Prada Sunglasses

I’m sure you all know I love a good pair of sunglasses by now and cold weather doesn’t stop me from donning a pair! These new Prada Sunglasses are part of their Autumn / Winter Collection and they have a softer lens than my other glasses which means I don’t walk around bumping into things all day. Instead they just take the glare away and allow me to take less care of my eye make-up whilst I’m away on holiday. Aren’t they lovely?
