Crabtree & Evelyn Festive Collection
The Crabtree & Evelyn Festive Collection is so good, it makes me think to myself ‘what’s so great about summer anyway?!’. Imagine a scent collection filled with soothing pine, warm fig, smoky tea and rich roses, so rich and delicious there is nothing left to do except sit back, throw a log on the fire and reach for another shortbread. You’re gonna love it!
Noel
Noel is the most traditionally ‘festival’ scent of the collection, it’s filled with notes of mulled wine, fir, spice and citrus. Fans of Crabtree & Evelyn will know this scent well as it is relaunched every winter and always sells out. I’m not usually a fan of heavy, spicy, orange winter scents, however, this one is a delight as it’s slightly sweeter than your average and the citrus notes have a real freshness to them which really make the scent a lot more uplifting and exciting. I may have already finished burning it and I absolutely loved it, the more I burnt it, the more I loved it, which was a huge shock to me as I normally don’t like this style of christmas scent.
Windsor Forest
Ah! The Windsor Forest Candle is my very favourite! Last year when I moved into my house, it was cold, dark and a little dusty. On the first night in our house we went to bed surrounded by boxes, with no kettle and barely any heating. Determined to make the best of the first night in our new house, I lit this candle whilst my boyfriend turned down the lights and found a film for us to watch. Within half an hour we had escaped into a movie with the warm, clean scent of pine and it was pretty wonderful. I couldn’t be happier to be burning this candle again this winter and it feels every bit as special as it did 12 months ago surrounded by boxes in our brand new home.
Festive Fig
Whilst Noel and Windsor Forest are much-loved Crabtree classics, Festive Fig is a new scent in the collection (as are Rose Pineapple and Spiced Earl Grey, but more about them later!) I go nuts for the scent of figs and for this collection, Crabtree & Evelyn have beautifully blended fresh figs with damson, woods and winter florals. It’s punchy and delicious and I could easily use the room spray as a perfume…. if you promised not to judge me! This scent comes as a home fragrance collection as well as a hand cream.
Rose Pineapple
I must admit, Rose Pineapple is my least favourite of all the fragrances in this collection, but only because I can’t stand pineapples, it’s just a personal preference of mine…. I don’t even like pina coladas or upside-down-pineapple cakes! However, for those who do like pineapple, imagine fizzy processeco, heady rose and sweet pineapple. It’s unexpected and exciting, it comes as a body cream and hand cream.
Spiced Earl Grey
This scent is only available as a hand cream, but it’s so good, it’s not to be missed! Imagine smoky, citrus early grey tea blended with a hint of fresh lemon and warm spices like ginger and nutmeg. It’s wonderfully refreshing and comforting, just like a really good cup of earl grey tea. I’m secretly hoping this Spiced Earl Grey hand cream will become part of of their perminant collection as it’s truly special!
OOoh Spiced Earl Gray! I adore tea scented things. I bet this is delish.
