Ten Amazing Travel Palettes
What is it about palettes that make me weak at the knees?! I swear to God, single pots of eyeshadow do nothing for me, but put 4 or more shades in a palette and I go nuts for them. Aside from the fact they look beautiful, they are also mega practical, in fact, just last week, I was in Iceland and I basically just took palettes with me as they gave me all the make-up I needed but took up way less space in my hand luggage! brilliant! In honour of that, I put together some of my favourite palettes which are all perfect for travelling and some of them are dinky enough to be handbag-friendly too!
Smashbox Full Exposure Eyeshadow Palette
This eyeshadow palette which is so good, it’s piled high with amazing colours which are just the perfect shades of nudes to smoky, there’s no fancy colours, but is you like the classics, this is the one! If you don’t already own the Smashbox Full Exposure Eyeshadow Palette, it’s time to buy, or buy Double Exposure, which is also amazing and you can use the colours wet and dry, perfect for creating a cat eye, if you have the skills!
Becca Cosmetics X Jaclyn Hill Face Palette
A nightmare to photograph, but a dream to use! There is a reason why everyone loves this Becca Cosmetics X Jaclyn Hill Face Palette so much, it’s just flawless! I love the richly pigmented gold highlighter (Champagne Pop) and the beautiful shimmery pink blusher and the rich bronzer. Not the cheapest, but worth every penny! PS. This is currently out of stock everywhere, but it is coming back into stock, so get ready, it will sell out FAST!
MUA Luxe Radiant Illumination Highlighting Kit
My latest budget beauty crush is MUA, they have an amazing collection of Liquid lipsticks which have the most beautiful velvet finish, as well as highlighter products like this MUA Luxe Radiant Illumination Highlighting Kit. At just £6, you just can’t go wrong with this kit, I love the art deco style packaging and you can choose between matte and shimmer shades or layer them up for something a little bespoke.
Stila Perfect Me, Perfect Hue Palette
I just love the pretty pink shades of this Stila Perfect Me, Perfect Hue Palette. The rose pink, the nude and champagne eyeshades and the super dark shades perfect for giving a little definition! It doesn’t come with a brush, but let’s be honest, I would always rather use my own brushes anyway!
Guerlain 5 Couleurs Palette
This palette is so beautiful, I couldn’t work out if I should photograph it open or closed! It screams Parisian elegance and the colours and lustrous and rich. Also, this Guerlain 5 Couleurs Palette is perfect for any handbag, it’s neat, versatile and sturdy enough to withstand the mightiest ‘handbag dropper’ (thats that you call someone like me who drops their handbag on the floor rather than placing it delicately on a your lap or the chair.
Urban Decay Vice Lipstick Palette
I could not be more excited about this brand new Urban Decay Vice Lipstick Palette! I am a huge fan of UD lipsticks, however, a bag full of lipsticks isn’t ideal for travel, so this palette is perfect. It contains 12 beautiful lipstick shades and a lip brush. Ideal for travelling and way cheaper than buying 12 separate lipsticks!
Autograph Eyeshadow & Blusher Palette
This Autograph Eyeshadow & Blusher Palette is a good all-rounder, it contains eyeshadows, blush/bronzer and highlighter. The colours are rich an autumnal, so whilst it’s no good for tropical travel, it’s perfect for colder climates. Oh and that copper coloured eyeshadow is sooooo pretty!
Sleek Cosmetics Solstice Palette
I love this Sleek Cosmetics Solstice Palette so much that I have two, one which I use and one back-up! It contains four different shades of highlighter, all for different parts of your face (lips, brow, cheekbone and nose) but you can play with them, I know I do! Everything about this set is beautiful, but I would recommend ditching the brush it comes with and using one of your regular brushes instead. Highlighter addicts like me need to own this palette!
Pixi Rosette Palette
Oh la la! This Pixi Rosette Palette has thought of everything! It contains blusher, bronzer, highlighter and a fill range of eyeshadow colours. An incredibly generous palette which costs just £22… pretty impressive! The pink all-over glow shade is a particular favourite of mine!
Too Faced Peanut Butter & Jelly Palette
A super sweet treat of colours which are inspired by peanut butter and jelly and smell a little like them too! If you don’t love Too Faced Peanut Butter & Jelly Palette, I don’t think we can be friends! It’s so good and if you are worried it contains peanuts, don’t worry, it doesn’t!
