This weeks Sunday Flatlay has more of a minimalist theme. I’m not sure why, usually my flatlays are far from minimalist, but with these one, it felt nice to keep things simple!
This weekend has been pretty busy, we started our Saturday with a meeting with our plasterer to talk about our plans for the next stage of our home renovations project (read more about our progress here!). After our meeting we had a spot of lunch and then set to work ripping off our kitchen wall. No Really! We actually did! The bottom half of the wall has lovely original wood panelling across the wall (much like what you can see in this post) the top half of the room has modern faux wood panelling to try and match the bottom half. I can see what the past owners were going for, but quite frankly, it didn’t convince me and it needed to go! We used hammers and crowbars and ripped off that nasty MDF and took the top half of the room back to plaster. It felt good! Anyway, let’s talk about the flatlay shall we?
Becca Cosmetics X Jaclyn Hill Palette
I’m still so obsessed with this Becca Cosmetics X Jaclyn Hill Palette, Champagne Pop is the most beautiful highlighter ever and I adore the shimmery pink blusher and the shimmer-free bronzer. The palette is currently out of stock, but Champagne Pop as a single pressed powder can be found at Space NK.
I got given these Spectrum Brushes in a goody bag this week, I think they have to be the prettiest make-up brushes I have ever seen! The only question is, should I use them and enjoy them, or should I keep them clean and neat for flatlay opportunities?! #BloggerProblems. I have heard rumours that Spectrum Brushes will be at Clothes Show Live next month, if so, I need to stock up, otherwise I’m going to order more!
My sunglasses are by Superdry and what can I say, they are the prettiest shade of purple I have ever seen! I have been stalking their website recently looking for new clothes to wear this Winter. I love living by the seaside, but damn, it gets cold here! Oh and sunglasses for me are a wardrobe staple, no matter what the season!
Sudio Bluetooth Earphones
Now that I live in Margate, I find myself on the train to London once or twice a week, I fill the journey with music and podcasts, making my headphones a handbag essential. These Sudio Bluetooth earphones are so beautiful, the sound quality is amazing and they are wireless too, which is perfect as the iPhone 7 which has lost the headphone jack and will now only be compatible with wireless headphones. I’m ready for the iPhone 7, even if it’s not ready for me (patiently waiting for my contract to expire!). If you want a pair, use the code ‘SudioSeptember15’ for a 15% discount.
Even though I’m always online, I still love buying books. Whenever I need a little inspo, I find myself flicking through them. I’m also partial to using them as props in my flatlays too! The open book is by Kate Spade and the closed book is by Aimee Song.
