Kat Von D Beauty Launches In The UK

The launch of Kat Von D Beauty in the UK has been one of the hottest launches of the year. For reals. It was first announced a few months ago and since then I have heard the words ‘OMG! Have you heard Kat Von D is launching in the UK soon?!‘ Countless times. People are excited and so are Debenham’s the UK home of Kat Von D Beauty. This week Debenham’s has been the hottest store on Oxford Street and people are literally queuing to get into the KVD beauty area. Legit, it’s been so busy, they have had to section it off with security letting frantic shoppers in on a one-in-one-out policy. I heard one school girl walk past saying ‘I think she must be in there’ because it was so crazy busy. FYI, she’s wasn’t, all this excitement was over the make-up. Here’s what to look out for:

 Everlasting Liquid Lipstick

First of all, Kat Von D’s Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks are hot property.  They come in an amazing array of shades and they literally last for hours. Want black lips? You got em! Navy, plum, lilac and Orange? It’s all possible! Apply one layer, wait 20 seconds for it to dry and then apply a second later. The colours or rich and pigmented and the colours really do last for hours! Oh and if like me, you just want to stick to a classic red / pink / nude, there are shades for us boring-babes too.

Studded Kiss Lipsticks

Once again, the Studded Kiss Lipsticks come in an amazing array of colours. They have a slight staining effect and great longwear formula. Release your inner goth with the dark reds, plums, black and dark green. Or stick to classic shades like red, pink and nude. My personal favourite shade is Bachelorette, the shade shown is Lolita 

Tattoo Liner

The super-precise Tattoo Liquid Liner which gives a wet-look finish in one easy, fluid motion. The wet-look finish actually makes your eyes look bigger and it has true all-day-long staying power. It comes in two shades but the black is obviously my favourite. Oh and the tip applies with the easy of a felt tip, but it’s actually a brush, so you get that perfect point at the end of your cat-eye.

Lock It Hydrating Primer & Lock It Foundation

Whilst it’s best to wear a primer. I never actually think of it as an ‘essential’ item, however; the Kat Von D primer and foundation is like a double act and I would say to only wear the foundation with the primer underneath it. Yes, it primes your skin and makes the foundation stick and last all day, that’s a given. But also the foundation is super high coverage and without the primer it just doesn’t feel as comfortable. If you want a more semi-sheer or sheer finish. Just blend the foundation and primer together to give a more natural finish. I would say a loose powder is essential to finish the look and make it feel smoothed and comfortable. But the result is pretty amazing. Also pale girls like me are going to love this foundation as the shades go super low: I wasn’t even the palest shade!!! At the other end of the spectrum, the foundation also works on super dark girls. So there’s a shade for everyone. I love the finished effect and I love that it is customisable depending on how you like your coverage.
