Make-up: Nude, Naked, Bare

 Nude-By-Nature-Contour-Palette

Nude, Naked, Bare

Everywhere I look, I’m seeing a lot of nudity, everyone is nuts for nudes right now and not the kind of nudes Hugh Hefner likes, I’m talking and beauty products! Think flawless foundation, natural nails, subtle smoky eyes and I-woke-up-like-this lips. Whilst my signature make-up is bold and brash, I’m always a fan of a flawless base, chiselled cheeks, nude eyes with winged liner and peachy-pink nails. Let’s have a look at some of my favourite nudes, shall we?

Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette

Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette

In my mind, it’s the Urban Decay Naked Palettes which started the nude / naked / bare make-up obsession. These palettes are iconic, there has been a fair few additions (Naked 1, 2, 3 & Smoky, as well as some mini palettes) that Urban Decay have actually created the Naked Vault for the die-hard fans (of which there are many!) If you are tempted to buy this palette, just do it, there is a reason why everyone owns it, just make sure you pop in store, have a play around, speak to one of their make-up artists and figure out which Naked palette is best for you!

Models Own Dare To Bare Nails

Models Own are famed for bold colours and disco ball finishes, so it was a bit of a shocker to find out about their new Dare To Bare collection is so…nude! This collection of make-up and polishes features pretty nudes, taupes and browns, I especially love the HyperGel nail polishes which have a pretty pink tone to the nudes, it’s a really nice feminine twist on the trend.

Sleek Cosmetics Face & Eye

Sleek Cosmetics Face & Eye Palettes

Sleek Cosmetics started life as a brown beauty brand and over the years they have expanded their collection to reach all skin colours. Their products are loved by ladies of all colours as their richly pigmented shades are great quality and super-affordable. Up All Night is a beautiful nude toned palette filled with lustrous-finish shadows. I am also a big fan of their contour and highlighter products, the small face contour kit you can see in the photo is a great set which is perfect for those who are wanting to give contouring a try without spending too much.

Jasper-Conran-Nude-Perfume

Jasper Conran Nude Perfume

It’s not just cosmetics companies who are going nuts for nude, this summer saw Jasper Conran releasing the fragrance, Nude. It combines Orris (sweet and woodsy violet root) with amber, musk, orange blossom and magnolia to create floral, crisp, feminine scent. It’s beautiful, elegant and at just £30 for a 100ml bottle, it’s also really affordable summer scent.

Rimmel London 15th Anniversary Collection by Kate Moss Lipsticks

Rimmel London 15th Anniversary Collection by Kate Moss Lipsticks

It’s hard to believe it’s been 15 years since Kate Moss was signed by Rimmel London. We all wanted ‘the London look’ then, and we still do now! The Rimmel London 15th Anniversary Collection by Kate Moss is super lust-worthy and affordable. The packaging is rose gold and the shades are classic Moss, plenty of nudes and a red, pink & plum. But let’s be honest, it’s all about the nudes; Boho Nude, Rock ‘n’ Roll Nude and My Nude. You can buy this collection from ASOS beauty, you know, to qualify for free shipping once you have bought some cool studded ankle boots / 90’s slip dress / fur jacket.

Smashbox Step-by-Step Contour Kit

Smashbox Step-by-Step Contour Kit

So many people say to me ‘I still don’t get contouring’. Personally, I’m not into the full-on clown-face contouring (It’s a a little OTT unless you are Kim Kardashian). But I do love a little bronze, blush and highlight to give my face some much-needed shape. This Smashbox Step-by-Step Contour Kit gives you the tools of the trade and show you how to use them depending on your face shape. This set will last you months (or a year or two) and will give you the bone structure you crave. Tip: if you are going somewhere you know you will be in a lot of photos (wedding, birthday party, day out with girlfriends) then use a touch more than normal as the camera will ‘flatten’ your face and this kit will give you the face shape you dream of!

NYX Nude On Nude Palette

NYX Nude On Nude Palette

This is the mother of all nude palettes, can you believe this NYX set contains 20 eyeshadows and 10 lip colours?! Crazy right? And all for only £20 from ASOS Beauty. My favourite shades are the shimmery golds. It’s just nice having so much choice in the morning! The shades aren’t as highly pigmented as the UD ones so make sure you use a good eyeshadow primer!

Nude By Nature Contour Palette

Finally, I’m quite new to Nude By Nature products, but I couldn’t resist featuring them, for it’s name alone! This Contour palette is presented in the most beautiful rose gold packaging, it’s perfectly handbag friendly and gives the most beautiful sheer finish which can be built up. I’m massively tempted to treat myself to this glow highlighter stick too. You can find Nude By Nature at ASOS Beauty, I haven’t seen it anywhere else. This contour palette is stunning, the highlighter is beautiful and the peachy pink tone to the blush is so pretty. Make sure you check out Nude By Nature soon!
