Lancôme ‘Cushion’ Foundation and Blusher

Once in a while a beauty brand releases something which is so simple and genius, it kind of blows my mind; today, Lancôme did just that! Their two latest launches Cushion Blush Subtil and Teint Idole Ultra Cushion Foundation, are so good, I wanted to make sure I got this post up as soon as I could because these are two amazing new products! Don’t buy another foundation or blusher until you try these two out!

Teint Idole Ultra Cushion Foundation

There are a few things I look for when I buy foundation, firstly, I need it to match my skintone, I’m pretty pale and often I find the palest shade isn’t quite light enough for me. I also want high coverage as my pale skin shows up every blemish and imperfection. Finally, I want it to be super-lightweight and comfortable, I’m not into layers of foundation to get the effect I want, it’s not pleasant to wear, especially in the summer or long periods of time. Speaking of summer, it’s nice to have an SPF in your foundation isn’t it?

So, let’s chat about the Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Cushion Foundation and it’s patent-pending Cushion Polar Technology. The foundation itself is thick and creamy allowing it to give high coverage. It also has tiny micro pigments to blur out any  imperfection and an SPF 50 build in. Now all I need is for it to be lightweight and comfortable to wear. This is where the Cushion Polar Technology is important, the foundation is stored behind mesh which filters the formula to give an even coverage. As for the sponge applicator, this clever little thing is made up of interlacing fibres, designed to hold more foundation allowing it to be applied to skin in a thin, even veil. As for the shades, there are nine colours to choose from and the pales shade (01) is perfect for me. I have recently been in a bit of a foundation rut, and this new Lancôme release has given me everything I have been looking for!

Cushion Blush Subtil

As for the blush, the liquid formula is stored in a sponge form and applied with the pad. It’s locked away in an airtight compact to keep it fresh and fluid. The colours are stunning, wonderful pops of bright blush which can be used sparingly to create a delicate glow, or built up to give more of a splash of colour! You can combine one or two blushes to give more of an ombre look or team with a matching lipstick. I love the melt away formula which is super light to wear and just gives a lovely health, summer glow. Available in six popping colours and absolutely stunning for the summer!
