Anyone who follows my Instagram account will notice there is always a lot of lipstick photos being posted. Lipstick is as important to me as cake. I bloody love the stuff, in fact just yesterday I went out for dinner and drinks with Adorn Girl and realised that I had no lipstick in my bag. She instantly laughed and said ‘OMG! This must be killing you!’ She was right. It did kill me and all evening I kept thinking ‘I wish I had a lipstick with me’. Lipstick gives me confidence. When, I look in the mirror pre-lipstick and I’m not happy, when I look in the mirror post-lipstick, I’m still not happy (c’mon! I’m a woman, I’m never satisfied!) but I feel a million times better. Charlotte Tilbury is so right when she talks about #LipstickConfidence.

Hot Lips

Charlotte Tilbury’s latest collection is called ‘Hot Lips’ and I’m of course obsessed with it! It has been produced in collaboration with  12 powerful and confident women: Miranda Kerr, Nicole Kidman, Salma Hayek, Kate Bosworth, Laura Bailey, Cindy Crawford, Helena Bonham-Carter, Liv Tyler, Emily Ratakjowski, Carina Lau, Poppy Delevingne and Kim Kardashian-West. For each woman she has created a lipstick shade which captures their personality and spirit. Pretty cool right? It’s about to get even cooler! For each lipstick sold in the first two months, £1 will be donated to the Women For Women International. This charity helps women survivors of conflict turnaround their lives and in doing so, turn around the lives of their families and eventually, help to change the nation.

My Favourites

My personal favourite lipsticks in this collection are Kim KW for the most beautiful shade of pinky nude I have ever seen, making lips look full and perfect. I also love Hell’s Bells for it’s fabulous shade of plumy purple, a little more wearable than the bright purples which are currently popular, this shade will be fashionable long after the purple trend is over. My very favourite of all the shades has to be Electric Poppy, named after Poppy Delevingne this shade is the a pretty but fabulous shade of red. It’s bold, carefree and the perfect shade of pinky red for every day! If you have never tried Charlotte Tilbury make-up before, you really need to, it’s perfection and these lipsticks are a dream come true!
