Jo Malone London Sneak Peek
Disclaimer: There will be a few mentioned of Christmas festivities in this post, so please bare with me. I know it’s way too early to talk about Winter, let alone Christmas, but quite frankly, this collection is too good not to share now. You guys know how obsessed I am with Jo Malone London and I can’t wait until the weather is cold to talk about this, because the forthcoming range is just too good!!! Some of this collection won’t be dropping in-store or online until early November, but some of these items are limited edition so if you want them, you need to hurry up!
Firstly, let’s talk about gift boxes, there are so many great boxes this season! There are too many to talk about individually, so instead I’m going to pick out some of my favourites. Firstly, I am obsessed with Christmas cracker gift set as it’s just so darn cute! Can you imagine finding one of these nestled in the tree or on your place setting? I’m also really into the Bathtime collection gift set, this harlequin lined box contains a bath oil, shower oil and bubble wash in three iconic scents. I have my mum something similar last year for Christmas (two bottles rather than three and without the fancy box) and she used it for months and absolutely loved it! Another big favourite of mine is the House Of Jo Malone collection is which filled with a selection of travel sized products in a gift box; bath oil, cologne, body creme, body wash, candle and body lotion. Pretty much the perfect gift for any woman!
Jo Malone London Orange Bitters Cologne
Jo Malone Orange Bitters Cologne is the new fragrance which will be released for the festive season. However, this is no spicy, wintery orange scent, it’s inspired by a cocktail and it’s got really fresh and uplifting feel to it, on a deep dark base. Whilst it’s beautiful for the festive season, there is a freshness to it which could easily take you through to Spring and Summer. Orange Bitters is filled with notes of sweet orange juice, mandarin, bitter orange, prune, sandalwood and amber. The prune adds a little sweetness and dark juiciness to the fragrance, whilst the sandalwood and Amber add depth and elegance. Oh and the bottle is a magical harlequin print!
In terms of fragrance combining, Orange Bitters blends beautifully with Pomegranate Noir which adds a little darkness and winter woodiness to it, giving a bitter orange twist to the classic Pomegranate Noir fragrance. It also combines well with Grapefruit, which amps up the warm juicy citrus feel and gives it a lively summer twist!
Jo Malone London Orange Bitters Candle
I adore the Orange Bitters Cologne as it’s got a nod towards the festival, but even without the context of christmas, it’s actually just a really beautiful, sophisticated orange based fragrance. However, it is this candle which makes it to the top of my wish list as I can enjoy the fragrance with the added treat of this limited edited ceramic pot. Once the candle has been burnt it can be used as a make up brush holder, cactus plant pot or even a mug. I need this in my life, I think we all do! I can’t stress this one enough, this candle is limited edition and I think it is going to sell out before we can even blink!
Jo Malone London Pine & Eucalyptus Home Collection
Coming back for another festive season is the beautiful Jo Malone London Pine & Eucalyptus diffuser, room spray and candle (in two sizes). I absolutely love this fragrance, it’s clean, green and beautiful. I feel like I need to stock up so that I can burn it all year round, it’s so comforting and cosy, it makes me feel like I am in a log cabin in the middle of the a fantasy pine forest. I already have the candle (thank you JML) and I don’t think I will be able to wait until winter to burn it!
These Jo Malone London items won’t be launched until later this year, the Orange Bitters collection will be available from October 2016 and everything else will be launched 1st November. I promise, they are totally worth the wait and even though I’m sure many of you are way too warm to think about Christmas, I just couldn’t hold back sharing this information! PS. Can every event include a juggler and ballet dancers?!
