Five Bathroom Favourites
My bathroom is starting to come together! I’m insanely happy with the floor tiles (bought from Fired Earth) and I really love the traditional style finishes (bathroom furniture bought from Bathstore). It’s taken a sweet time to do and it’s cost a small fortune, but the joy of seeing it almost ready, is worth it all! You know what else fills me with joy? These five bathroom products, they are my current favourites!
Crabtree & Evelyn Shower Gel & Hand Cream
I am a huge fan of Crabtree & Evelyn Products and this Lemon, Honey & Coriander Shower Gel is a particular favourite of mine. It’s so fresh and zesty with a hint of herby spice. Perfect for waking me up in the morning and making me feel clean and fresh no matter how hot the temperatures rise! Also from the collection I adore the Hand Cream, it leaves my hands feeling velvety soft and non-greasy and smelling fabulous! FYI, hide it from your boyfriend, mine is forever trying to *borrow* this one!
Kneipp Bath Salts
I’m have always struggled sleeping, even as a child I barely slept through the night. My poor mother must have been pulling her hair out! One of my favourite sleep aid products is surprisingly affordable for quite how luxe and effective it is. These Kneipp Bath Salts tune the bath blue and fill the room and my senses with the scent of lavender, eucalyptus and Citronella. Perfect for lazy evenings when I really need to unwind before I get into bed.
Jo Malone London Bath & Shower Oils
If you have never tried Jo Malone London Shower Oil before, now is the time to invest! Although it might seem strange to use an oil in the shower, upon impact with water, the oil turns milky and starts to foam slightly. It leaves my skin clean, nourished and feeling wonderful. I tend to use the shower oils in the morning which is why I love Lime, Basil & Mandarin, as its fresh, zesty and uplifting. This is a product I tend to hide from my mum, it’s her absolute favourite (yes, I do spend a lot of time guarding my beauty products from my family!). As for the Bath Oil, this is a product I love in the evening, there’s nothing quite like a big tub filled with Jo Malone London Red Roses Bath Oil. It’s so luxurious, so relaxing and balancing, what can I say? It’s good for my soul!
Neal’s Yard Remeadies Scrub
I have always been a huge fan of a exfoliating, there’s just nothing like it! A really good scrub can make you feel like you have brand new skin, however, I had no idea that microbeads which are often found in scrubs have such an negative impact on the environment. The problem with microbeads is that they are tiny pieces of plastic which don’t break down and eventually they end up in the sea. Neal’s Yard Remedies products never contain microbeads, instead they contain natural exfoliants like pumice stone and rosehip seed powder. The Melissa Hand Polish leaves my hands feeling super soft and my skin nourished and restored. I don’t use it more than once a week, but when I do, I love it! Same goes for the Pumice Foot Scrub, it works a treat and my feet get a real battering with all the walking I do! I’m trying really hard to avoid using products with microbeads, are you?
Petits Rituels Fleur Boisée Candle
I love having candles in the bathroom, it’s so nice having a bath and having a candle lit in the corner of the tub. At the moment, I am loving Petits Rituels Fleur Boisée Candle, the scent of it is so relaxing and soothing, it’s filled with notes of rose, germanium and lavender. The other thing I love about this candle is even when it’s not lit, the scent of the candle still lingers in the room. It’s really beautiful! I just saw the candle is sold out of the website, but I’m sure they will restock it soon, if not, they have some other beautiful fragrances to try out and I highly recommend them!
