Beauty: Six Great Lip Oils

Six Great Lip Oils

Lip oils are hot news right now and I am jumping on the band wagon with both feet and a fist pump. If you have never used a lip oil before, then let me explain, they are somewhere between a super-hydrating lip balm and a lipgloss. Imagine wearing a non-sticky, non-gloopy lipgloss which leaves your lips feeling nourished and hydrated. Perfect for around the house and casual summer make-up looks. Here are six great lip oils

Clarins Comfort Lip Oil

These Clarins Comfort Lip Oils were the first lip oils I ever tried. I think they started life as a limited edition product, but due to popular demand they were brought back as a permanent part of the Clarins collection. They come in three varieties; Honey, Raspberry and Red Berry. They look great, feel great and there’s just something so desirable about these compact lip oils! My personal favourite is the honey!

Lancôme-Juicy-Shaker-Lip-Oil

Lancôme Juicy Shaker Lip Oil

These Lancôme nourishing oils contain sweet almond oil, omega 3, cranberry oil as well as bright pigments to give a glossy, colour-rich finish. Lancôme are known for their high-shine lip glosses, but these new lip oils, give a more modern and practical feel to the look. As for the packaging?! Fabulous! Give it a shake to mix it up and apply with the triangle style sponge.

 YSL-Volupte-Tint-In-Oil-Lip-Colour

YSL Volupte Tint-In-Oil Lip Colour

I love this YSL Volupte Tint-In-Oil Lip Colour, the wand is a unique shape which hugs the lips as you apply them, the shine is lusturious and it smells like powdery watermelon. My personal favourite is the hot pink, it’s actually really natural on my lips, it just looks healthy and glossy. There’s something about this lip oil which is just so summery!

Espa-Nourishing-Lip-Treatment.

Espa Nourishing Lip Treatment

This 100% natural ESPA lip oil is filled with Raspberry and Pomegranate seed Omega Oils, as well as collagen-boosting Indian Gentian Leaves. Leaving lips looking plump and healthy. It’s a colourless lip oil with a soft scent of honey and orange blossom. I often apply this before I go to sleep as I wake up with super-soft hydrated lips.

Barry M Coco Loco Lip Oil

Barry M Coco Loco Lip Oil

Earlier this Summer saw Barry M releasing their Berry Good and Coco Loco lip oils. If you are interested in trying a lip oil but you are not 100% sure they are for you, then give Barry’s a try. They are both great, the Loco Coco one is my favourite as I love the coconut vibes and price wise, they can’t be beat!

gosh-cosmetics-lip-oil-honey-raspberry

GOSH Cosmetics Lip Oil

Another great Lip Oil on a budget are these two by GOSH Cosmetics. The raspberry one gives a hint of colour, but my favourite is the honey as it is pretty much scent free for days where you just don’t want a scented lip product. What can I say, sometimes I like a scent, sometimes I don’t, but if you are someone who likes unfragranced lip glosses / lipsticks and you don’t want to spend a lot, this is the one for you!

Have you tried lip oils yet? If so, what do you think of them?

Very interesting. I’m huge sucker for every kind of lip products (I might have unhealthy obssesion with lip balms) so few new lip oils wouldn’t be too bad.
