Amsterdam Open Air Festival with UNEEK

As I look through my photos from Amsterdam Open Air Festival with UNEEK footwear, it’s kind of hard to believe quite how sunny it was, compared with quite how rainy it in London today! I was invited there by UNEEK Footwear and together with other bloggers and influencers, we created art installations at Amsterdam Open Air Festival. Pretty cool right?

Amazingly enough, this was my first ever European festival. It was so much fun, the atmosphere was super fun and everyone loved what we were doing. We had a big ol’ space and together we created walls which reflected our own interests and creative visions. I wanted something pink, but I also wanted something floral and textured. Which is when I decided to make a wall of flowers and eventually, I turned a wall of flowers into a big beautiful heart of flowers. UNEEK worked with an art collective called Shit Art, who sourced lots of fabric flowers for me and I set about stapling them in a cluster to create a heart shape. Easier said than done! Every time I did one side the heart, I managed to make it look uneven with the other side. Then I would work on the other side to build it up and make it symmetrical and then I would end up having to go back to the other side to make it match. It must have been pretty funny to watch, but I got there eventually.

Creativity & Innovation

UNEEK are driven by creativity and innovation which is why we were asked to us our creativity to express ourselves in our spaces. We we given free-reign to do whatever we wanted and all the tools we needed; props, paint, laces, materials, you name it, we had it! We all created such different spaces and after we were done, all the festival goers came in to chat to us about what we had done and take selfies with oue backdrops! It was so much fun to see everyone engaging with our creations. I found my UNEEK shoes super comfortable, they are made of just a cushioned sole and laces, so they are lightweight and easy to wear. Perfect for creating art, roaming around a festival and having fun!
