Every Summer Jo Malone London release a limited edition candle in aid of their charity gardens. These gardens are located around the country in London, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Bristol and Manchester. They are grown and maintained to give theaputic health benefits to those who are living with mental illness. The gardens are beautiful, peaceful and much loved by the community who use them. Each year Jo Malone London create a new candle inspired by the gardens (read about last years candle here). A whopping 75% of the proceeds go to the charity to maintain the existing gardens and eventually create new ones. This years candle is Peony & Moss.

I love the Jo Malone London charity candle project, not only is it a great cause (with such a generous donation from JML) but the candles are so desirable in their own right. This years offering, Peony & Moss is no exception. This candle has such an uplifting, fresh floral feel with the fresh cassis and peonies, but it also has a warm, enveloping richness to it, which is soothing and luxurious. The fragrance perfectly balances the fruity sweetness of cassis with the prettiness of the peony and the rich woodsy, earthy notes. Along side the peony, I’m sure I can also detect some wild roses and some green leafy notes too, just to give it a little more fullness and luxury. If this fragrance was released as a cologne, I would snap it up in a second because it’s stunning! The candle is presented the classic Jo Malone London glass jar is covered with a red and green print. Jo Malone London Peony & Moss Charity Candle is stunning and a wonderful opportunity to purchase a limited edition item which will leave you with a fuzzy feeling on the inside. Go forth and support!
