Benefit Brow Collection
In my head, the NPD’s at Benefit were listening to Vanilla Ice when they came up with their Benefit Brow Collection. Literally, any brow problem you have, they can solve it. From thin, sparse brows to un-groomed and unruly brows, and every other brow issue in between (except a monobrow, we all know what you need to do with that). But sparse, dull, shapeless, they have yo’ back!

Brows In Focus
Let’s be honest, Benefit are know for good brows. They have 1,800 Brow Bars spread across the world and they really do champion the art of the good brow and quite *how* important it is to creating an amazing make-up look. On a personal level, I always struggled with my brows. I have a small scar on my forehead which cuts slightly into one of my brows, so there is a tiny patch missing. Also, as a blonde, I always struggled to buy eye-brow pencils which didn’t leave me looking like I had crazy dark brows or give me a weird ginger tone to my brows. It wasn’t until I discovered Benefit’s Gimme Brow that I had brow confidence. I can hold my hand on my heart and tell you, if I could only have five items of make-up in my cosmetics bag for the rest of my life, Gimme Brow would be one of them. I recommended it to everyone and anyone, and I truly don’t think I’m overselling it when I refer to it as ‘life changing’. That being said, my brow issues are not the same as everyone else’s, so let’s discuss some other brow issues and how Benefit Brows can help you!
♥
Thin, Skimpy Brows
Let’s start with my favourite product, Gimme Brow. This Brow Volumising Fiber Gel applied like a mascara wand to give a boost to your brows. It just amps up the volume and the colour. I’m blonde and I don’t go too overboard with my brows, so a pale shade is perfect for the day and a slightly darker shade is great for the night. This power tool of the brow world gives a boost to the brows I already have, but it also seems to find eyebrow hairs which are literally blonde and add them into my brows.
Sparse Brows
If you want to pimp your brows long-term, then Brow Vo Conditioning Primer is perfect. It’s a clear gel which suits all brows and it contains keratin and soy proteins to help condition your brows and help them grow fuller and thicker. It can be worn in the day as a primer before you use other brow products to give colour and shape, or you can use at night to let it work it’s magic whilst you sleep. Personally, I have just started using this at night, I don’t feel Gimme Brow needs a primer as it lasts fantastically well all day long, but I would like to have thicker, stronger brows naturally and hopefully this will help long term.
Uneven, Patchy Brows
This is another great product for me, you know, for the boy-band-style scar I have in my brow. This Goof Proof Brow Pencil can be used to fill in any patches, or it can just be used on your whole brow to give a more even look. It comes in six (I’m pretty sure it’s six shades). I am using Shade 3 as I have been rocking a root lately and I want brows slightly darker than usual to go with the roots. My point is, not matter is you have blonde, dark or mid-tone brows, there is a shade to fit your hair / skin / brow tone.
Shapeless Brows
This Precisely, My Brow Pencil Ultra-defining brow pencil gives razor sharp precision to brows. I don’t feel like I need this product as much as the previous ones. I have a tiny natural arch to my brows and I try to keep the shape natural and focus on getting the colour I want. I love super-hardcore-killer brows (like Kylie Jenner), but I don’t feel like I have the face nor make-up to match, I keep things a little more rock ‘n’ roll and casual. With this pencil you can actually draw all the tiny hairs onto your eyebrows to get them totally on fleeeeekkkkk!
Un-Groomed Brows
Brow Zings is the perfect kit for grooming, shaping and filling your brows. It comes with tiny tweezers (which are actually really easy to use compared to most tiny tweezers) as well as wax and colour. All in a cute little case! The result is beautiful, a soft natural looking brow which has an almost airbrushed feel to it.
Lacks depth
If your brows lack a little something-something, consider Ka BROW! for building a little extra depth and colour to your brows. You can use a little for a day-time natural looking brow, or you can use a lot for a more dramatic brow look. I am super impressed with this product, the brow technician at Benefit advised me to stray away from Gimme Brow in favour of this product as it would give me the brow-pop I want as well as fill in any gaps. I have to admit, it gives a similar effect to Brow Zing, but I personally find it quicker and easier.
Unruly Brows
If your brows are pretty much perfect in terms of colour and shape, maybe all you need is Ready, Set, Brow. It’s a clear setting brow which will take your natural brows and simply brush and set them into place and fix them there, all day long. Perfect if you are Cara Delevingne.
Dull Brows
3D Browtones does to your brows, what highlights do to your hair. They just a little extra colour onto your brows, a little like Gimme Brow does (it even has the same mascara wand applicator) but the results are a little more subtle and natural. Hard to describe, but it adds a little something extra to your brows to give the colour a little more depth. Perfect if you are blonde and you want something subtle, also great if you are brunette and you want a little extra depth to the colour.
Something For Everyone
Finally, these last two products are brilliant for everyone, no matter what your brow colour, brow look or brow shape. Even if you don’t have any brow issues, these two highlighter pencils are perfect! Use as a pencil and apply under the eye brow to really make it pop. High Brow Pencil will add a slight highlight, glow and generally make your eye area appear brighter and make your brow pop. Where as High Brow Glow Pencil does a similar job, but it has a boosted highlight. It’s less subtle, but it’s got a lot more WOW-ness to it. I personally prefer High Brow Pencil for under my brow, however, I have been using High Brow Glow Pencil in tiny dots which I blend over the top and I have also been using this on my cheekbones too as it’s a beautiful illuminating highlighter.

The Benefit Brows Collection is out now, I know it’s a lot of information to take in as there is literally multiple options for every single girl (or boy!) and brow issue and you may actually want to use two, three or four of these products in conjunction. My personal favourites as a gap-brow-blondie are Gimmie Brow and Ka Brow, as well as the highlighters. I’m also super excited to see the results for Brow Vo Conditioning Primer. My best advice is to pop into store to try these out, as a technician some questions, tell her your issues and experiment with shades and consider. Also if you are a brow-and-go kind of girl, tell her, as some girls spend 20 minutes on their brows and I spend 20 seconds, so make sure your killer brows fit into your routine.
