Becca Cosmetics X Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection
A few weeks ago, I saw a few bloggers swatching the Becca Cosmetics X Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection on Instagram. Anyway, I swear to god, since then I have been thinking about it. Literally obsessed! I don’t know what it is, but there the way this powder glows with a beautiful rose gold champagne colour, it spoke to me, right there over Instagram. It was a real *hearts in the eyes emoji moment*. I knew I had to have it! I’m not getting any younger (or thinner) and my skin and cheekbones
wanted needed it! The collection was created with Jaclyn Hill and features some pretty special limited edition shades… want to know more?!
Champagne Collection Face Palette
This limited edition face palette is literally my dream! Please, if anyone knows a more luminous and beautiful palette, tell me, as this one is stunning and everything I have been searching for! It features the classic Champagne Pop! which I am now obsessed with (I’m so late to the party with this one) as well as four exclusive shades which you can wear alone, or layer up to build your own customisable shades. There are two illuminators in this palette, Champagne Pop! (which is the only shade in the palette which can be bought individually) and Prossecco Pop! which is a slightly more gold shade, compared to Champagne Pop! which is a little more peachy. These are the two larger powders and believe me, a little goes a long way, so these colours will last a long time. As for the blushers, the Amaretto and Pamplemousse are both mineral blushers and the Rosé Spritz has more of a shimmer to it. I love the mineral blushers, especially for the day, they are just great every day blushers, but it’s the Rosé Spritz which fills my heart with the same joy that the illuminators do. I couldn’t be happier, it’s everything I wanted and more, it’s the palette of dreams! Price wise, this whole palette is £48 and whilst it’s not cheap, the single pot of Champagne Pop! is £32, so for a little extra money, you get a whole lot more product! Even if you already own Champagne Pop! It’s worth buying this palette as well, as you can have one for home, one for your bag and you get 4 extra shades which you won’t be able to get again.
Champagne Collection Eye Palette
So, onto the Becca Cosmetics X Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Eye Palette! Here we have five limited edition eye shadows, again, it’s the more luminous tones which really excite me as I feel like this collection is really about the highlighting and shimmer, although when worn with the highlighter on my face, it can be a bit much. I absolutely adore the Chardonnay (which is the first shade on the left) however, the more matte shades are also really nice as they give a good contour. Some people are complaining the quality isn’t very good, but to be honest, I think it’s fine, I’m not really sure what the fuss is about. I wanted to edit my post to reference it and I have spent my afternoon playing with the shades and I’m just not sure why everyone is so upset. I do love the face palette a million times more than the eyeshadow palette, but to be honest, that’s the main focus of the collection, but it’s still a good set of eyeshadows. Saying that, I am new to the brand, so I can’t really compare, but as a stand alone palette, I’m really happy with it!
