Matte finish lipsticks are so hot right now. Like searing hot! Everywhere I go it’s all anyone is talking about, some brands are playing it safe with every day semi-matte finishes, other brands are going all out matte. Some brands are packaging them as lip paints, others lipsticks. Whatever it is, the key message is ‘matte’. My friends, once you go matte, you don’t go back!
Rouge Pur Couture The Mats
YSL Beauté just killed the game by adding five amazing new shades to their Rouge Pur Couture The Mats collection! These flawless YSL matte lipsticks give you the most amazing finish which is almost like a leather. Unlike most matte or semi-matte lipsticks, it is not at all drying, in fact it feels like a satin finish, but doesn’t look like one. It glides on, has a slight sheen to it at first and then within a few minutes it becomes a little more matte but still keeps it fluid, comfortable lightweight feel. Also, as any matte wearing girl will know, often matte lipsticks wear off badly and can be a nightmare to reapply. These lipsticks reapply perfectly. Also, fans of an ombre lip will love these colours as the formula works perfectly for blending two shades together.
Five New Shades
No.214 Wood On Fire – A pinkish red shade which packs a subtle punch.
No. 215 Lust For Pink – A super hot fuchsia pink, perfect for Summer! It’s a really punchy shade, it has a slightly retro feel, like the bad girl from a cool 80’s b-movie would wear it. She might not be the star of the film, but she was definitely the coolest character.
No. 216 Red Clash – My favourite shade of the collection (with the exception of the pink, which I also really love) a good strong red which is great for every day as well as nights out.
No. 217 Nude Trouble – The perfect shade of nude if you want to wear a bun and a heavy smokey eye. It’s the right shade and finish to complete this super cool look!
No. 218 Coral Remix – A slightly darker nude with a hint of pink, a really beautiful every day shade. It’s much cooler than the average every day shade as it has such a beautiful finish.
