Sleek Make-up Matte Me Lipgloss & VIP Lipsticks

With the Matte lipsticks trend being on the rise and Kylie’s Lip Kit’s being a massive disappointment to the world, it’s time to look around for other Matte Lipstick options. Sleek Make-up have two options, their VIP Lipsticks which have a semi-matte finish and their Matte-Me Lipglosses which have a more velvet-matte finish. Let’s have a look, shall we!

Matte Me Lipgloss

So, let’s talk about Sleek Make-up Matte Me Lipgloss collection. There are 12 shades to choose from, everything from nudes, hot pinks, reds and plums. Obviously my favourite is the red, which I’m a little bit obsessed with. First of all, if you don’t like lip glosses, don’t worry, these are not like regular lip glosses, there is no stickiness and no wind/hair situation to worry about. Instead, these apply almost like a paint with a lipgloss style wand and then they quickly dry to become a matte effect finish. The finish is the exact matte, velvet finish you want, the colour is strong and rich and the feel of it on your lips is like a lip paint or a liquid lipstick rather than a gloss. It has a slight drying effect, however, this is normal for a matte finish and the results are so damned good, it’s the last thing you will be thinking about. Also, as with any matte lipstick, try to remember to exfoliate your lips before use, as any dodgy dry skin will be more noticeable with a matte finish. I’m mega impressed with Matte Me, I no longer care about try to track down Kylie’s Lip Kit’s for over-inflated prices on ebay, at £4.99 or something crazy each, these are the ones I want because they are bloody brilliant!

VIP Lipsticks

If you are looking for a full-on matte finish lipstick, these Sleek Make-up VIP Lipstick might not be exactly what you are looking for, but when you consider the beautiful shades and the price, they are deffo worth considering. They have a semi-matt finish, so they glide on like a satin finish, but they seem to slightly dry within a few moments to settle into a more matte finish. Great for every day, comfortable to wear, easy to apply and super-affordable.
