Williamsburg, NYC
Williamsburg is like East London, but taken to a higher lever of hipness. What makes it cooler? More record stores, skinnier jeans, warehouses-turned-vintage stores, bagel shops which sell rainbow bagels, coffee shops who serve their super-strong caffeine with ice cream sandwiches on the side, every male has a fisherman’s beard and every girl looks looks either like a boy or an Olson Twin… cool right? Joking aside, I actually love Williamsburg. I love the shops, the cafes and the relaxed and friendly atmosphere, it feels like a New York version of Bethnal Green.
Moschino X Barbie Backpack
Instead of roaming around Williamsburg looking like a Mary-Kate & Ashley (circa 2014: layers of black baggy clothes, Birkenstocks and oversized handbags and sunglasses), instead I wore a black dress second day in a row (I wish I was kidding, but I’m running out of clean clothes fast) and my Moschino X Barbie Backpack. Not quite the Williamsburg look, but I love this bag and I pretty sure I get looks of envy when I wear it. The is the print bloody brilliant, it fits everything I could ever need inside and lets me walk around town, hands-free! I also layered up the pin badges as I’m still loving wearing multiple brooches and I also stacked up some rings and bracelets. It felt like a more-is-more kind of day.
