My Thoughts
Boucheron Quatre is a perfumery classic, which is why I was so excited when I discovered they were launching a new twist on it, Boucheron Quatre Intense eau de parfum. This perfume opens with sweet, fruity notes of pear, peach and redcurrant, which is slightly offset by the bitter orange. The heart is filled with rich, feminine florals of orange blossom, jasmine, rose and Pétalia (which is a powdery rose with a hint of lychee according to google!). At the base of this fragrance, there is sensual musk, vanilla wood, warm amber and sweet sandalwood. Boucheron Quatre Intense is a rich, fruity-floral gourmand perfume, it has all the sweetness of the vanilla, peach, pear and amber, yet it has a beautiful warmth to it with the sandalwood and amber, these notes give it a real exotic depth. As for the florals, they are heady, feminine and rich. Whilst Boucheron Quatre Intense is not my style; it’s too sweet and feminine for me, however, it undeniably sexy and delicious, the ingredients used are top quality and the depth and complexity of it is beautiful. If sweet, feminine, fruity-floral perfumes are for you, then Boucheron Quatre Intense is one you need to try pronto!
