Magnolia Bakery, NYC

I love the West Village in New York. It’s such a beautiful neighbourhood filled with beautiful boutiques, delightful food and the prettiest of streets. At 11am on a sunny Sunday morning this Spring, it looked particularly pretty. Like the tourists we are, we popped into the famous Magnolia Bakery for a couple of cupcakes and cups of coffee and we sat in the park across the street. Good morning, America!

Coffee & Cakes

I have been to Magnolia Bakery a few times over the years, I love this part of town and I always find myself walking past on my way to kate spade new york and Annick Goutal. If you go a the wrong time of day (12-4pm) you might see a queue around the block to get in. My advice is not to bother queuing, it’s lovely, but if you go earlier or later in the day, you can get in and get out without any queuing and it’s just a nicer experience. My personal favourites; a small caramel latte and a buttercream with sprinkles cupcake. Yum!

The West Village

The West Village is so beautiful. With the exception of Coney Island, it’s probably my favourite part of New York! Just look at these colourful blooms outside the brownstone houses, the cute dogs, beautiful boutiques and charming architecture. At the risk of sounding annoyingly whimsical, it’s just so pretty in this part of town!
