‘Le Rouge et Le Noir’ a blend of rare red and black berries with a deep undertone. Like a rich, dark wine. Rounded, rich fruit underpinned with sensual black woods. The blackness of night.

My Thoughts
Shay & Blue Framboise Noire is a fragrance which my boyfriend and I are currently arguing over, I claim it is more feminine, he feels it’s more masculine. In short, we both love it and we both want to claim it as our own. In reality, we should learn to share, but great fragrances, are not something I want to go ‘halfsies’ on!
Shay & Blue are a fairly new and niche perfume house, but quite frankly, they are killing it with their beautiful, modern-yet-classic fragrances which are new and exciting fragrance combinations. Shay & Blue Framboise Noire is a stunning combination of fresh delicious raspberries and berries, blended with exotic iris and a heavy hit of dark, smoky ouds and woods. Normally I avoid perfumes with red berries, as they tend to be blended with sugary notes of sweet florals and candy floss. Shay & Blue Framboise Noire is dark, juicy and mysterious. There’s no sugary sweetness to this raspberry, instead it’s decadent dark fruits and almost plummy notes, mixed with rich and exotic oud and dark woods. I always think oud needs a little ‘something something’ to take the sharp edge off it, this is usually vanilla or rose, I never imagined raspberries would work as an alternative. Shay & Blue Framboise Noire is unexpected and oh-so-addictive! Seriously, you need to go try some Shay & Blue fragrances!
