Diptyque is such a love brand for me, it’s one of those stores I go into, pick up each and every candle, dowse myself in fragrance and just roam around the store eying up my next purchase and occasionally buying myself a little treat. Even though I have a full wardrobe of fragrance for every occasion, I still can’t get enough of Diptyque. From hand creams and hand wash, candles to fragrance, cupboard scents to room diffusers. I love ‘em! When I finally own one of the monster candles, I will know I have made it in life!

The latest Diptyque launch, Eau des Sens, is a majestic orange treat! Imagine an orange, all of it, the juice, the leaves and the skin. Then blend it with orange blossom, kumquat and citrus notes for a truly zesty floral, leafy extravaganza. Add some rich neroli, fresh juniper berries and a touch of spicy ginger. Then layer it over a base of powdery patchouli and woodsy notes. On first spray it’s uplifting, fresh, Summery and zesty with a freshness of juniper berries and green notes of the leaves. Once the fragrance settles onto skin, it becomes a little warmer, more sensual and feminine. It has a freshness which is perfect for the day time, but a sophistication to it which makes it elegant enough for the evening. In some ways it’s super fresh, summery and uplifting, in other ways it’s sensual and exotic.

You Know The Saying…

I normally steer clear of orange and orange blossom perfumes, but Eau des Sens has a twist on the orange which makes it so special and so addictive, I’m obsessed already! Next time you pass a Diptyque store, you need to pop in and give this one a sniff, it’s a real summer delight! Also, please make sure you do it fast, as I was recently too slow to get their Olympia Le Tan collaboration and I am still kicking myself about it! You know the saying, you snooze, you lose!
