Have you noticed that Clarks are killing it at the moment? Their last few collections have been so cool, filled with lust-worth designs in awesome colours and finishes. They have combined all their shoe knowledge, techniques and tradition, with current trends to produce some seriously cool, yet affordable designs. Not only is their own line collection great, but their collaborations are brilliant too. The past three seasons have seen them team up with brands like Orla Kiely, as well as brands like YMC, Patternity and more recently, the V&A museum. This month sees the launch of their latest collaboration, Clarks X Christopher Raeburn.

Christopher Raeburn launched his fashion line in 2008, he is famed for his ultra-modern utilitarian designs. Over the past few years his shows have become a hot ticket at London Fashion Week and his name is becoming globally recognised as a British designer to look out for.

Clarks X Christopher Raeburn SS16 Collection

The Clarks X Christopher Raeburn SS16 Collection takes it’s inspiration from Borneo and it’s indigenous tribes and jungles. Reimagining the traditional jungle boots, desert wellies and traditional sandals. The collection has a functional but luxe feel with it’s lightweight soles, cork detailing, leather finishes, metal edging and sports-luxe fabrics.

Jungle Trek Boots

Whilst I love all the sandals in the collection,  I couldn’t wait until Summer to wear something from this collection, so I opted for the Jungle Trek boots. I love the slight platform and the chunky heel, all in black with white speckles. The lining fabric features a print of the Borneo map and the exterior of the boot is a cool mix between luxe leather and coated canvas. Whilst I’m sure most girls would team them with a pair of skinny jeans and a biker jacket, I’m more of a cape and pearls kind of girl and I think these boots will add a bit of edge to my look. Make sure you go instore or online to check out the collection, it’s a real winner and if you want a pair for yourself (which you probably will as the designs are amazing!) make sure you get them ASAP, as they will sell out super-fast!
