Mother’s Day
Whilst I do believe Mother’s Day is one of those made-up holidays which is designed around selling cards and flowers, I still think it is a nice opportunity to say ‘Hey mum! I love you, thanks for everything!’ and if that thanks comes with a cup of tea and a meaningful token, then all the better! My friends at Very Exclusive asked me to pick out three great gifts which would make lovely gifts for my mum and so I scoured their website to find three meaningful gifts.

The first thing I thought of is a new perfume, my mother has always worn beautiful perfumes and not a day goes by without her wearing a scent. I immediately thought of Miller Harris and their classic citrus fragrance, Citron Citron. She used to love their bath and body products in this collection and I knew she would love a bottle of the perfume. The next thing I selected was a Cowshed Candle, my mum loves scented candles and this one not only smells divine, but the name of it, Grumpy Cow, is a bit of a tease. Finally, the last thing I picked for her is a little more extravagant, but I couldn’t resist! I would love to give my mum a new Barbour jacket, she has a few already, but they are always worn to walk the dogs and muck out horses and I would love to get her a new one to wear at the weekend when they go to a pub for lunch or pop to the supermarket after a hack.
Miller Harris Citron Citron
I couldn’t resist, the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to give my mum a bottle of Miller Harris Citron Citron for Mother’s Day! For those who have never tried this perfume, it is a citrus delight! Miller Harris fragrances are famed for their fresh and natural scents and this one is smells like it has been plucked straight from natural and put into the bottle! With top notes of Sicilian lemon, orange and lime, herby heart notes of mint, basil and thyme and a base of cedarwood and green moss. It’s a burst of freshness and excitement, perfume for my mother’s warm and open personality.
