Kiko Milano The Artist
Say ‘Hello’ to the new Kiko Milano collection, The Artist. I really love Kiko Milano cosmetics as they are super-affordable and always great quality. They also have a huge selection of colours and finishes, so if you want to try out a make-up trend without heavy investment, Kiko Milano is a great place to find those new exciting colours which you might only wear once or twice. On the flip side, if you are on a budget and you want great basics, again Kiko Milano is a great store to stock up on the staples.
The Artist
Anyway, I digress, the new collection is called, The Artist and all the packaging is themed around brushstroke motifs with pops of colour. The colour palette of the collection is bright and bold lips and eyes, with a flawless base and highlights and bronzers to sculpt. The campaign imagery reminds me of Lady Gaga during the Art Pop era, it’s really cool and worth checking out on their website.
Brushes & Blushers
I change my make-up brushes all the time, if truth is told, I hate cleaning them, so I tend to buy cheaper ones and replace them fairly often. These ones are the prettiest I have seen in a while, I love the coloured bristles and the blusher brush is a lovely shape and density. Speaking of blusher, I love the design of the powder with the brushstroke dab! My favourite shade is 04 Artistic Pink, which is just the prettiest shade of blush pink, perfect for a rose cheek, which can be worn lightly or built up for a more dramatic 80’s pop of cheekbone!
Lipsticks
Kiko lipsticks are really good, they last well, the pigment is strong and they have a really nice finish. All the colours in this collection are lovely, but my favourite has to be the bright red which you can see in the image. Perfect for every day use, it’s the kind of lipstick I have in my coat pocket for *lipstick emergencies* and I find myself applying it far more often than my luxury lipsticks because of it’s proximity. Also the matching lipliners are really good, easy to apply, a nice texture and last well!
