My Thoughts
I am a huge fan of Floris perfumes, I own and love a fair few and when I heard about this latest release, A Rose For … , I got very excited. I think we all know how much I love rose based perfumes and not only that, only 100 bottles have been made making it super exclusive. At the top of the perfume, there is a definite sharpness; oud, smoky tea, incense and perhaps some saffron, it has a sharp, masculine beginning. Then the perfume opens up and exposes the heart of the fragrance, those heady red roses, tuberose and woody floral orris. On the dry down, the woods at the base of the fragrance are exposed, the warm cedar and sandalwood with the amber, patchouli and vanilla. A Rose For … is super luxe, it has the feel of a rich Middle Eastern inspired fragrance, which I absolutely adore; Heavy Oud, rich Rose, warm Amber, sweet Vanilla. It’s intoxicating, mysterious, complex, warm, sweet and spicy all at the same time. Part of me thinks it’s a shame only 100 bottles will be produced, but the other part of me know’s it’s not for everyone and I love that it is exclusive. I will be treasuring every last drop of this perfume, if you too love a complex rose based oud, you need to pop into the Floris flagship store and try this out. It’s kind of magical!
Only 100 bottles of Floris A Rose For … have been made and hand-poured at the 89 Jeremyn Street store. It is sold exclusively instore and online. Each of these 100 bottles will be hand written with the name of the wearer.
