Margate

A few months ago I left my tiny flat in East London and I bought whopper of a house in Margate. It was a big life change, but it just felt right and I couldn’t be happier that we took the plunge, do you know why? Because Margate is brilliant! I loved East London, but I love Margate more. There is so much to do here, so many independent cafes and restaurants, plenty of cute shops and I can even go for walks on the beach any time I want, the beach is literally a the end of my road!

Dreamland

Just a stones throw from my house is Dreamland, a vintage fairground filled with old rides, pinball machines, delicious food and even a roller disco! A few nights ago we popped along to try out the new menu (FYI, it’s amazing, just check out the photos of my milkshake, chilli chips and pulled pork burger!). Whilst I was there, I couldn’t resist taking a few snaps to show the inside of the cafe, arcade and roller disco to demonstrate just how cool it is! I can’t wait to share more photos of the rides and Summer additions in the Spring! Dreamland is getting even bigger and better!

Getting Here

If you live in London, it’s super easy to get to Margate, there is a high speed train from St Pancras International (or Stratford City), which will bring you direct to Margate. Once at Margate, you step off the train, turn right and you will see Dreamland ahead of you! After you have had some fairground fun, make sure you explore the Turner Contemporary Art Gallery, Old Town for vintage stores and cafes and other such sites as Shell Grotto and the Harbour Arm. It’s a LOT of fun in Margate!
