I have been a fan of Gwen Stefani since I was 15, I loved Tragic Kingdom, Rock Steady and the good singles of Return From Saturn (Bathwater was great, so was New and Ex-girlfriend, but it was a tough album for her to write, she was going through a break-up). I bought the earlier albums (I had to buy Beacon Street Collection in NYC as it was pre-internet and HMV didn’t stock it) and I even had VCR recordings of No Doubt playing live on MTV which I watched about 100 times. I tried sewing rhinestones on my bra straps and I *think* I even bought a few packs of Bindi’s (thankfully, I didn’t ever wear them!) Back in the late 90’s Gwen was a huge style icon for indie girls, it took the rest of the world a few years to catch up, but they got there eventually.

So Much Style

Gwen Stefani is smart, cool, sassy, a brilliant songwriter and musician and she’s a great business woman too. She’s had a whole heap of different looks over the years, from her punk days in the OC, all the way to Harijuku, she has always been awesome and her style is flawless no matter if she is roaming around Primrose Hill or being a judge on the Voice. Some people are just super stylish. Thankfully for the rest of us, she lends a hand once in a while and teams up with a super cool brand to create something super cool for us all to enjoy and hopefully a little of her style will rub off on us mere mortals.

The Palette

Her latest offering is the Urban Decay X Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette. It features fifteen eyeshadows (all names reference songs) and features shades which Gwen personally always wish existed and could never find, as well as a collection of shades which she uses to create some of her iconic beauty looks. There are some beautiful nudes, champagnes and taupes, as well as smoky and gold tones. For those a little more adventurous, there is a hot pink and glitzy dark blue. I don’t think I need to remind anyone of how good Urban Decay eyeshadow palettes are, nor do I need to remind you I don’t normally care about ‘celebrity products’, but this palette is special, it’s not a celebrity endorsed product, it’s SO much better than that. Personally, I’m loving the nudes which are amazing for pale skinned girls and 1987, Steady and Pop are real winners for me too! *emoji hands clapping*

Urban Decay X Gwen Stefani Lipsticks

As if a palette wasn’t enough, very soon we will see the launch of the Urban Decay X Gwen Stefani lipstick range. With shades of dark pinks, plums, reds and hits of purple, it’s a feisty and cool collection. I already have Mega Matte and Phone Call on my wish list and I have only seen a preview so far!
