My Thoughts
This month sees DKNY launch their latest fragrance collection, Be Electric. This collection is made up of three new perfumes, Bright Crush, Loving Glow and Citrus Pulse. Whilst the DKNY ‘apples’ are famous for containing the fragrance note of apple, this latest collection (much like the last offering, Be Desired) omits the scent. As you might guess from the name of the fragrance, Citrus Pulse, contains fresh and zesty notes of nectarine, mandarin and exotic passion fruit. The bottle might be shaped like an apple, but it is aptly coloured in neon orange, and almost looks like a satsuma. Citrus Pulse bursts open with a hit of fresh citrus fruits, before it reaches a heart of warm, delicate florals. At the base of the perfume, you find amber, musk and sandalwood which add a little sensuality to the perfume. Citrus pulse is a little too orange-y and sweet for my personal taste, however, I have a feeling it is made for a younger market than myself. FYI, my personal favourite is Bright Crush.
