Clinique Sweet Pots Sugar Scrub & Lip Balm

I’m a huge fan of Clinique products. Their Lip Pop Lipsticks are always all over my instagram because I love them so much. When these cute little Clinique Sweet Pots Sugar Scrub & Lip Balm appeared in my mailbox, I got excited. Why? Because it’s a new Clinique lip product and they are packaged to look like a macaroon! Genius?! I think so!

Clinique Lip Sugar Scrub

Lip scrubs are something I don’t use often, but every time I do, I’m obsessed with my lips afterwards as they are just so damned soft and smooth! Most lip scrubs are applied with water (much like a face scrub) this one is different, as it is like a balm with a sugar exfoliator. Once you have given it a good rub in, you gently tissue off the remaining sugar. The results are great, I was left with soft, smooth lips and because it’s carried in a balm, it’s not so drying. Oh and if you do happen to lip your lips when you are using it, your tastebuds will get a little treat!

Clinique Lip Balm

Clinique Sweet Pots Sugar Scrub & Lip Balm’s come in 6 different shades; Red Velvet, Orange Blossom, Pink Framboise, Sweet Rose, Candied Cassis and Citron Bleu. They look like they have a half decent pigment, but actually once they are on your lips, there is barely a hint of colour. Don’t expect a bright orange lip from Orange Blossom, nor a plum lip from Candid Cassis, the colour is super subtle and it’s more about which colour you like the look of the most. The lip balm is super moisturising and packed full of naturally-derived ingredients like coconut oil, shea butter and aloe leaf extract. Perfect if you are needing a hydrating lip balm on the go, or if you want to nourish your lips post-scrub.

Together

Clinique Sweet Pots are essentially two great products in one. They are packaged in the most adorable macaroon inspired pot and they are handbag friendly. Obviously you won’t use the scrub as often as you will use the balm, but when you do scrub, it’s handy to have the balm right there. I would have been obsessed with these as a teenager and if it was pre-Christmas I would have put them right at the top of my Tween gift guide. What can I say, they are super-cute, useable and a lovely January pick-me-up gift to yourself. I probably don’t need another lip balm or scrub, but there is something about this product which just makes me happy!
