It’s official, Winter is here and we may as well embrace it. There are lots of good things about the colder months; blankets, endless hot chocolates, Christmas, wool scarves and the possibility of snow. You just never know! It’s also a good excuse to buy a new berry red lipstick and a beautiful new eyeshadow palette. Speaking of which, here are my favourite five eyeshadow palettes!

PS. If you have blue eyes, you will probably find golds, rose golds and grey tones will work best on you. Lilac and plum shades will look great with green eyes and those with brown eyes, can get away with most colours, so have fun!

Too Faced Love Palette

Let’s start off with the cutest eyeshadow palette, this Too Faced Love Palette wins every eye-candy award going. The heart compartments, the pink, gold and rose gold tones, just stunning!

Clarins Festive Palette

Party hard this Winter with the Clarins Festive Palette, these super soft nude, gold and warm brown tones are warm, matte and shimmery! The palette comes with easy to follow instructions (found on acetate on the inside) and and easy to use brush. The box is made from card to help minimise environmental impact as part of the Pur Project. If you struggle to create the perfect smoky eye, this palette has a winning formula, Apply shade 4 to the entire upper eyelid. Then apply shade 9 along the upper and lower lash lines with a light repeat application along the lashes. Done!

Nars NARSissist Dual-Intensity Palette

Good things come in small packages and this Nars NARSissist Dual-Intensity palette is a classic example! There are eight concise shades in this set, including a new exclusive shade Ursa Major. These shadows can be used wet or dry, when applied with a damp brush you get a higher impact look, you can create an eyeliner effect if you use a tiny brush.

Oh the Iconic Urban Decay Naked Palette! So many brands try to copy it, none of them succeed. If you wanna go naked, you gotta go Urban Decay! This new Naked Smoky palette is stunning for Winter, the cool blues, silvers and nudes will make your eyes pop!

Finally, meet Smashbox Full Exposure! Smashbox know exactly how to make us photo ready with their beautiful palettes! I love the luxe double ended brush which lets you apply matte and shimmer with different brushes. I love the rich chocolate browns, the beautiful shimmery golds and don’t even get me started on that metallic grey! FYI, nine years of research and development went into this bad boy!
