My Thoughts
When your chic Parisian friend recommends a fragrance to you, you take notice. More than that, you get a pen and you write it down. That’s what happened here, I was shopping for fragrance with a friend and looking for something which my boyfriend might like. She suggested we look at the Sisley fragrance and she said that Eau de Campagne was her favourite. I am a huge fan of Sisley skin care, so I was a little embarrassed to admit that I knew very little about their fragrance. Thank goodness for fabulous friends right?! Eau de Campagne is fabulous, it’s unisex and whist I like it on me, I have to admit it suits my boyfriends skin more than my own. It’s wonderfully green, it’s got top notes of fresh peppery basil, green vine tomato leaves, fresh lemon and wild herbs. The heart notes are floral, but they have a barely-there subtly to them, if it was a garden, they would be tiny shoots of florals rather than a bouquet. The base notes are woody and slightly aquatic, almost like the lush ground from which the greenness grows from. It has the air of French simplicity, yet, classic, understated and elegant. Classic, green and Lush!
