Royal Princess Oud
Royal Princess Oud is a captivating scent inspired by the family’s couturier legacy and early 19th century volumes of fashion sketches made by Henry Creed II. Taking cues from these historical sketch books, Royal Princess Oud is a suitable occasion for master perfumer: Olivier Creed to connect the family’s rich tailoring heritage and craftsmanship to the brand today.

Creed Perfumes are designed to be light, fresh and beautifully constructed fragrances. Where most of the exclusive perfumeries tend to produce heavy, heady fragrances, Creed specialise in fragrances which are subtle yet, captivating. My boyfriend adores Silver Mountain Water, for it’s clean, invigorating freshness. This month Creed have launched a new fragrance for women, Royal Princess Oud. When I found out it was themed around bergamot, rose, violet and oud, I did an internal happy dance! On first sniff, you smell you beautiful zesty bergamot, mixed with the sweet violets and fresh roses. At the heart it feels like a garland of pretty, romantic, clean florals and at the base you smell very soft resins and super subtle oud. When I read the notes, I was expecting Royal Princess Oud to be quite heady and dark, but actually, it’s fresh, clean and oh-so-pure. It’s subtle, yet awash with florals and contemporary freshness. It’s a floral and oud fragrance like no other. It’s sunshine through the windows in a pink tone room at the Palace of Versailles. Pure perfection!
