Autumn Shopping: What You Need

Treat your feet!

The changing of a season is the perfect excuse to buy a new pair of shoes (and potentially a new handbag too!) I have some new FitFlop Boots and they are pretty much the cosiest shoes I have ever worn. Not only are the super-snug and warm, but thanks to their hi-tech sole, they evenly distribute the pressure on your feet making them the most comfortable shoes around!

Be a Lushie!

Lush fans rejoice, I can confirm Snow Fairy has how hit the shelves! The elves in the Lush factory have been super busy and my local store (Oxford Street, London) is filled to the brim with loads of awesome Winter launches, including the iconic Candyfloss scented Snow Fairy. If you love it, stock up, it won’t be around for long!

Seasonal Make-up!

Oh la la! It’s time to switch up your make-up and make things a little more autumnal. Think darker and bolder lips, heavy eyeliner or a smokey eye. Personally I like to go hard or go home with make-up. Currently if you spend £25 on M&S Beauty you get this gift set for free. It’s a pretty sweet deal!

Seasonal Scents!

If you have been wearing lighter, fresher fragrances for Summer, it’s always nice to go for something new for the colder months. One of my favourite Autumn/Winter perfumes is Jo Malone London Wild Fig and Cassis. It’s wonderfully woody and green with a hit a dark fruits. Unusual, but oh-so-special! It’s been a favourite of mine for years.

Sunglasses in Winter!

I’m a complete sunglasses addict. The hide my dark circles, protect my eyes from the sun, help avoid wrinkles and to top it all off, they make me look cooler than I really am!  Sunglasses in Autumn / Winter are kind of essential as the sun is often low and almost blinding, but they have some negative connotations. Keep them simple like classic Ray Ban’s, or keep the lenses fairly light, so your eyes are still visible. Say *hi!* to my new Winter sunglasses by Miu Miu at Pretavoir, aren’t they fabulous?!

New Outerwear!

Why dig out last Winter’s coat when you can buy yourself something new? Personally, I love a good cape, but if superhero-style doesn’t float your boat, treat yourself to a new coat instead! Mine is by Boden, check their site for more great outerwear!

Refresh Last Winter’s Coat!

Freshen up last Winter’s coat with a new brooch! I truly believe you can give your tired old coat a new lease of life with a good dry-clean and a brand new snazzy brooch. Mine is by Chanel, but other great places to buy brooches include Etsy, Butler & Wilson and Vivienne Westwood.
