Inspiration

Sisley Soir D’Orient is a variation of the classic Eau du Soir which is inspired the magic and grander of an Oriental palace. This new addition to the collection holds the exotic atmosphere of the palace, but it is designed to be slightly more feminine and mysterious.

Notes

Top Notes: Lemon, Saffron, Galbanum

Heart Notes: Black pepper, Geranium, Turkish Rose

Base Notes: Incense, Sandalwood, Patchouli

My Thoughts

First of all, please can we talk about this bottle? I think it’s kind of amazing, it’s so timeless yet opulent. The lid is actually plated with 22 karat gold and it is actually a cylinder shape, so once you have finished the bottle of perfume, you can use the lid as a scarf ring or a napkin ring. Somethings are just too special to be thrown away!

Anyway, onto the perfume, Sisley Soir D’Orient starts with a sharp hit of citrus lemon and saffron. At the top it’s unusual and surprising, almost sharp, but it quickly settles down and the spicy black pepper blends with the beautiful, heady Turkish rose. At the base it has powdery notes of patchouli along with woody sandalwood and smokey incense. This perfume is intense, it’s rich and smoky with sharpness and florals. It’s not for the faint hearted, but lovers of rich ouds and more Middle Eastern fragrances will adore this perfume! This is my first Sisley fragrance and I absolutely love it, I can’t wait to discover more by the brand!
