“We were staying in the mountains when we met them. She told us about a mysterious flower. He told us where we might find it. The next morning, near the top of the crest, in a moment, a scent seduced us. It was so unexpected and magical: a single flower capturing the wildest ambery bouquet.”

I recently discovered Atelier Cologne and I instantly fell for Rose Absolue, and my boyfriend adores Oud Saphir. The time has come for me to try a new fragrance by the brand and it’s a real winner! Introducing Ambre Nue, a fabulously citrus twist on a classic amber perfume. If you pick this fragrance up and expect a heavy hit of amber, you will be shocked. It’s a really unusual scent, it’s warm, green, fresh and zesty notes of bergamot, mandarin and orange blossom. It’s got a sweet spicy kick of cinnamon and slight florals of orchid and perhaps jasmine. It has resins of benzoin and cistus shrub extract to form the amber. At the base it has sweet notes of tonka bean and a slightly powdery finish of patchouli. Ambre Nue is fabulous and delicious, it’s Summery and addictive and beautiful. It’s warm, citrusy and almost smoky with a burst of powdery sweetness. As the day wears on, the citrus settles slightly and the amber and resin notes develop beautifully. You can smell the warmth of the sun and you can feel the stunning quality of the ingredients used to make the fragrance. Ambre Nue, is a unisex perfume, I love wearing it and so does my boyfriend. I was worried the sweetness of the tonka bean and the power notes of the patchouli might put him off, but he felt the amber and citrus was masculine enough to balance it. True story, we are obsessed with Atelier Cologne and Ambre Nue, is like no other Amber perfume we have ever worn!
